Saw a good picture of him riding home on his bike afterwards - not even slightly knackered. Hope he stopped for fish and chips in an Alf Tupper stylee.

Nah, if Im not running I tend to lie down, dependent on how many of the Girls are in the living room as the sofa gets overcrowded and odd times its Seating Only..certain times I stand, if I'm watching on the Kitchen Telly.

What year was his Dad at the Grammar like?? I only found out a couple of years ago that I was at the Grammar with Jeff Stelling, although he was two years above and didn't talk to little shits like me. sadx

I was told that in about 1971 somebody lost his balance on the joists & ended up with his legs through the ceiling, straddling said joist. Slim Smith was mentioned, but it's difficult to appreciate how it could have been him
