 Post subject: Shrewsbury Club Logo (you thought ours was bad)!!!

Shrewsbury have wasted money paying a top graphic designer a small fortune in designing their logo. He spent ages trying to make the new logo so that it's "mindful of the club's tradition". They've also copyrighted it so that only they can use it on merchandise.

One small problem...

He's nicked a clipart image off google images (search for "lion" and "clipart", it's the third result that comes up http://images.google.co.uk/images?svnum ... on+clipart). Changed the colours using photoshop. Google have taken this image from a primary school's website, http://www.craigclowan-school.co.uk/ev-su-06.htm.

Now is it legal for Shrewsbury to copyright this image? Why waste a fortune on getting a "top" graphic designer when err, one of their fans could have done it for nowt.
