So, do I watch the open Championship, or the 2nd test?

And will we have a test match worth watching, after that bloody awful first game.

I suspect it will be the golf.

Cricket is a sport, Golf is a waste of a good walk. Problem solved.

I think the Test will be a cracker, the pitch has some grass on according to reports and we have a bit of chew thrown in to spice things up.

Storm didnt qualify. And is struggling to keep his card.

The prize money on offer at the Open will knock him even further down.

well enjoying the golf. Course looks a bit too easy for these blokes in this weather.

I then turned over to the cricket and seen the pitch is greener than the greens at the open.

Has the groundsman forgot to cut it?

decent start, but already the commentators complaining about englands bowlers bowling too short too often.

They always do. The bowlers I mean.

But that pitch is so green its funny.

Decent now. 113 for 4.

The golf is better though.

Piers Morgan making a complete and utter twat of himself on Twitter again today insisting that England should have batted first!!!??

It would be great if one day he just shut the fuck up regarding cricket or just in general.

why do you listen to him? Or read him?

He only has a platform because of people like you.

Infact I wouldnt know the bloke existed if you didnt keep telling us.

I thought you were watching the Golf?

I don't actually interact with him or abuse him, what he actually craves and I'm pretty sure you'd be aware of his existence.

Hard to tell until both sides have batted but we need to keep India under 220,

Anderson seems the best of the bowlers as usual , Broad and Plunkett pretty average so far

I don't even think Anderson has been at his best, his figures look better than he's actually bowled.

They all bowled a lot of overs last week, maybe things should have been freshened up a bit for this match.

Still it's not a bad pitch and it will get better with the hot weather baking it. It's doing a bit yet yes but the bounce is true and consistent plus it's carrying to the keeper. A million times better wicket than Trent Bridge.

Poor day overall, bowling not good enough with the usual suspects showing they are below quality test standard
Let's hope Cook can knock up a ton tomorrow

Broad?

He bowled a bag of shite.

Anderson and Broad wasted the first new ball, are they the usual suspects?

They need to ditch this tactic of Plunkett bowling around the the wicket at right handers then constantly bowling short. To resort to that late on today on such a green wicket was brainless.

We'll see what the pitch is like and judge today once England have had a bat.

No one bowled particularly well, abroad as you say was poor but has some pedigree, Plunkett was poor also, all in all as you say we have to see how England do but India will be the happier

Possibly they will be happier but that is based on the perception that the pitch is a minefield.

I thought Broad was England's poorest bowler today. He completely wasted the crucial first new ball and bowled poorly with the second, he looks well short of rythym. Saying that even though his figures look good so does Anderson.
