Never noticed this before but in womens football some teams are called "Ladies" and some just plain "Women", do teams have to achieve a certain standard of feminine genteelness before they are called Ladies-and would Pools be Gentlemen or just plain old Men?

What a load of crap.

See, the misnomer there is not in the 'ladies' or 'women' thing, the difference there being if they can piss forward standing up, but in the 'football' word.

Everyone knows that women can't kick a ball, it's embarrassing when they try. I watched that European Womens Championship season before last and it was shockingly bad. Can you remember when you were six and the only way you could get any distance on the ball was on the half volley??

Yup............

my first car was an Austin Princess with a Wolsey badge.....2.2 litres top of the range which I got cheap because it was a touch thirsty, the internal 'furnishings' were absolute class ...but the money I saved more than covered the fuel costs.....Stick it on the motorway and it was well at home, I got warp speed out of it on the M11.
