I went to Stockton last week, we adopted two 1 1/2 year old Shih-Tzu's (and paid £400 for the privilege). They were kept in an upstairs flat with two other older dogs. I'd have paid twice that to get them out of there, the place was awful.

I'm sure it has its nice parts but I reckon pound for pound Stockton is probably the worst town in the country.

We already have a labradoodle (yes I know, mongrel). They've fit in really well, no problems at all. One has an umbilical ulcer that hasn't been sorted so have to get that done at the cost of another £200, they were also overdue their booster injections as well which wasn't cheap.

Can't put a price on their wellbeing though, just glad we got them out of there.

Our lass wants a dog but there is no chance of that as every house iv been in with a dog living there, stinks like fuck.

And the owners are oblivious.

ps im presuming there must be exceptions to this rule.

Your hosts might just be polite. Us dog owners have a secret agreement never to mention odours when some evil smelling twat comes round and winds the dogs up with his acrid stench.

Stockton is rough. And I know all places have rough spots, but nothing like I witnessed the other sunday, when my younguns team played through there at Primrose Hill

It was like a scene from the walking dead.
