I think that it was a very professional performance, if we needed to I reckon that we could have went up another couple of gears.

I bet that Ben is rubbing Nelsons nose in it now that he is 2 goals clear of him

It was only a matter of time before one of their players was sent off as well.

football AM should have the showboating part of the show tomorrow dedicated to Andy Monkhouse, he showed some brilliant touches and the bit of skill that brought the foul for the red card was quality, my man of the match anyway.

Was very surprised by Nelson being voted man of the match, as was everyone around me. Certainly wasnt one of his best games.
But then again, who did have one of their better games?
Prob agree with Monkhouse for man of the match.
All in all, we probably could have upped it if necessary but we were lucky not to be up against a better side or we could have been punished. And what was going on with that re-shuffle? One up front at home when two nil up? Not sure about that.
Still, an easy win in the end and could have been five as Barker missed one sitter and one header - and we didnt play that well.

Barker was my man of the match - he was awesome

Have to coment on our sheer ARROGANCE - ten minutes friom time stop trying & let the opposition have the ball to do with what they will & STILL NOT CONCEDE

Class clappp

went into morrisons after the game. had the following conversation :

security guard : what was the final score ?

me : 3-0

security guard : good game ?

me : no. not really.

it was a bit naff to some extent in front of a big crowd to shup up shop at 2-0 up by going with 5 in midfield but i agree with what wilson did. with barron injured and a makeshift right back, he swapped brown onto the left, to make sure the right flank was protected. i think he knew we werent playing as well as we can. there was bound to be a bit of a comedown after sunday.

thought we could have gone back to 4-4-2 when they went down to 10 men, but with the title at stake theres no point doing anything daft.

we just look like title winners at the moment, though having had money on barker to be division 2 top scorer at 9/1 was hoping for another goal from him late on. having said that his flick on for bobs goal having attracted 2 defenders was superb. different gear to jon daly.

nobody has mentioned the big greek lad, but he made some important stops in the first 20 minutes when our defending was very sloppy.

all in all a totally satisfactory evening. roll on barnet. whos going ?

Fair comment - we did what we had to do - no more, no less

Fairly convinced we were watching the league champions tonight

Unbeleivably easy for The Unbeatables, and felt that they took their foot off the pedal in the latter stages!

Liddle and Monkhouse oustanding, but can't help feel The Mad Monk's reaction of staying down clutching his face, when there really wasn't that much wrong with him, helped to make up the ref's mind in sending off Bolland. Was it a straight red refred or a 2nd yellow!

Promotion and Title [sniff ahhh!!!] You can almost smell it!

Ref definitely produced the yellow card first, before confirming the sending off with the refred

I also took Barker to be top scorer when he joined us but I got 8/1 for it, still a tenner each way on that and a tenner each way on us to win the league at 12/1 could see a handy profit if both come off.
