Well done to the lad for not being put off when released by Pools. Just shows what you can do if you stick at it.

But why are the Mail splahing this on the front page and page 3? (No he doesn't get his baps out  ) This sort of thing happens all the time. Is the Mail having a dig at Pools? surely not

im good friends with his brother, who was also at pools n let go after injury, he plays for our sunday morning team now.

Andy was let go n went for them exit trial thingys all over the place, went up scotland and was offered deals by a few teams, was about to sign for one scottish minnow then rangers offered him a deal so he picked them.

Just goes to show that you should never give up, and being released by 1 club doesnt mean you still cant make it.

Played 5 aside against him during the summer, still cant work out whether he was left or right footed.

I always think about Jermaine Easter when things like this come up. Was shit for us and fairly certain he never scored for us. Been at plenty clubs since but can't believe he's become an international player and a first team regular at Palace after being released by us.

Remember we let Jeff Smith go. Went to Bishop Auckland for a year and then Bolton got him. Doubt he ever played for them but went from Pools released to Premiership in a year.

Guess who was running the youth team when he was released...yes, that's right, Micky Barron. It makes you wonder how this clown can judge whether the youngsters are good enough to play first-team football, does he use a Hartlepool United career on FM and goes through the seasons analysing who has got the highest star rating. FFS. He cannot tell his arse from his elbow...FACT.

So, in other words, you are basically admitting you were part of the 'Town End U5s' who frequently like to abuse players before they get a touch of the ball and flick the V at every opportunity to make yourselves look big and tough. Look at what you did to Matty Robson, thanks a lot, every time he plays against us he rips our defence a new arsehole. But so as long as your chosen targets of vitriol aren't very good while playing for Hartlepool, then that's fine. No need to worry. It's not as if they would make it anyway.

Certainly not me. Only thing i remember him doing was booting a blackpool player up the arse and getting sent off. Didn't we send him to Spennymoor on loan before he went to Stockport?

So where were you against Southend and Torquay in 2002 when Easter scored? Too busy in an apopletic rage effing and blinding at him?

Easter was constantly slagged off by the Town End brains trust.... and once this fine body of gifted and perceptive appraisers of football had made what passes for a mind up, found it impossible to change them. Like a dog savaging a stuffed toy, they just had to keep savaging away till the stuffed toys head fell off then blamed the toy ... and looked confused. Oh dear.

Wtf!!! I actually liked matty Robson... It's just like what's happening with Walton and Howard now it's not a coincedence Walton has his best games away from home and the stick Howard gets is shocking.. He is constantly fouled yet gets nothing off he ref then gets stick on here for appealing.
