Sorry but that was just awful today, they had young kids playing all over the park who were much better than our squad, we were woeful, you find yourself making excuses for us but you shouldn't need to.
They passed us off the park today. I would not be too optimistic for next season on that performance....embarrassing.

Poole was embarrassing, young kids who have only been in the game five minutes wrestling him off the the ball, weak as piss and no fight, if he thinks a performance like that is acceptable then he needs to have a good look at himself.

The match was the only bad thing about an otherwise really good day for me. Caught up with a couple of mates I don't see as often as I'd like, and the bairn had an ellish time down the fish sands before the match.

You take the beach for granted when you grow up next to one, and I keep forgetting how magic it must be for a little'un who only gets to go on one a few times a year.

For me Harrison and Harewood were the only two players to come out of the game with any credit today. Neither were great but did ok . 'Ok' being comparative to the rest of the shite playing for pools.

Poole was appalling. He does less than sweeney when he is on the pitch. Headless chicken.

I thought he was very poor and a lad I was with who hadn't seen him before thought likewise.

There was one point in the second half when Duckworth had a right go at him for not showing for the ball, and he was right to do so. Other than a couple of runs across the pitch today I thought he was anonymous. Compton whipped in two superb crosses, one in the first half and one in the second that should be meat and drink for a big centre forward and he never even got off the ground.

At his worst today he was like Stevie Statue going on one run and then hiding for the next 10-15 minutes while he got his breath back. He also did that shit thing he does every time we get a penalty where he argues with whoever is meant to be taking it.

Felt sorry for duckworth because he has
No one in front of him to pass too. Holden has Compton in front of him and they link up well but in front of Duckworth is no one as Walker sits in the middle. Duckworth simply can't get forward as he should do unless he takes 2 or 3 on.

You'd have thought Holden and Compton weren't speaking to each other, as every pass they attempted in the first half never came off, not surprising that Compton switched wings..... but sadly to little affect.
