Have somebody playing for them today called Cocks, how appropriate.

They had to get the poor sods down there this morning to fork the pitch, it's a total quagmire, if they win their Trumpton League semi on Wednesday there will be five matches played on it between today and next Saturday, should be in a bonny state by then.

On a serious note it seems a strange decision to put a non league ground on an area of ground with such poor drainage.

What did they think would happen to the pitch having 3 games a week on it?

The plan was obviously for their Galacticos to hover above the surface whilst destroying pub teams week by week.

There's been problems with the pitch since it was first laid. Initially the drainage was broken. At the end of the first season was replaced. Unfortunately the wrong sand was used which doesnt allow he water to pass through quickly. This is being replaced at the end of the season. Oh it doesn't help that the ground is built next to a flood plain.

We've got a young, vibrant team, a very involved ex-prem striker, a developing manager, and a bright future.

Oh and a home stadium.

And no debt.

And the St John's dont hate us.

I dunno why you bother.

Players being followed by other professional clubs - Some

Shall I go on?

[x] League status confirmed

[x] 16 goal striker, fourth in division statistics

[x] Can get decent upper league loans.

[x] Aren't having to play tin pot league play offs on Sunday league pitches in front of three figure crowds.

Yep, sure papering over the cracks there.

Is it just a one off game?

How is it decided if it's a draw, a game of heads and volleys?

They keep playing until the person who's jumper they used for the goal decides to go home for his tea.

The beauty of these 1883 goons coming on here is that it's a completely no lose situation.

Promotion from Evostick League division one is completely irrelevant to us and you'd had thought the Manchester United of non League football should do it however if they don't it will be funny and provide us with some humour during the summer months. We'll also see the back of this vagrant for a few weeks and not have to suffer interruptions from the likes of Fatty Eats Yabba for a while. Loan Star might pop in with some bitter and gnarled stuff about IOR pulling out but we can live with that.

I wonder if they dont do it how that would go with them moving back to Darlo?

Dont they still need around £60k to get before next year in order to achieve the very unrealistic quote of £75k to transform the rugby club?

It's ok, they'll just move money from another account to shore up the gap

Think positively. If they turn the buckets upside down, there is at least 1000000 seats!

I saw the Echo reporter Craig Stoddart retweeted a comment about the linesman at Darlo getting a lot of offsides wrong (i didnt even know they had linesmen at that level) and that he should learn the offside rule. Anyway I looked at his account and a day later he tweeted "Can someone please explain why that Chelsea 2nd goal wasnt offside?"

Couldnt make that shit up

Stoddart is as deluded as they come. The column inches they continue to get are VASTLY out of proportion to the tinpot outfit they have become.
