Their DNA has been spliced together and their are further clones on the way including a gay Scottish boy band called McFisted.

"Star Girl" is probably THE best pop song of the last decade. Discuss!

Not sure about that if you include huge swathes of hip hopand R&B derived pop but they're better than most of the Britpop bands, similar retro indie rock thing but with better tunes and choruses.

I like McFly and Busted. Always remember taking the girls to see Busted and they did "Ready Steady Go" by Generation X and "2468 Motorway" for the encores!

They were top notch last night like, really powerful energy-filled pop, I knew every single song (Dad of two teenage girls growing up in the 2000's!), and they've come on as musicians big style. Cracking atmosphere and Our Liv was buzzing. I must say, fair play to the Metro Arena, the wheelchair seats/access/facilities etc were cock-on.

Its easy to becynical about these lads, but honestly, they were cracking!

Also had no idea they had joined together. Every member in it? They got two drummers now? Or did Busted never have one?

Everyone except Charlie from Busted, who does his Fightstar thing.
Only Harry Judd from McFly on Drums, but interestingly TWO Bass Players.

Honestly, I expected a decent night but it was spot-on. We are loads better at this Pop-Teen Punk stuff than the Yanks!

I didn't realise until last night just how huge both bands were, there were 8 UK Number One Singles in that set-list. I was up like a daft lad, singing at the top of me voice. Musics a serious business and I love a LOT of different stuff but theres nowt better than out-and-out good time Guitar pop.

Can't decide between The Smithereens "Behind The Wall Of Sleep" and Puressence "Street Lights" as the best pop song of the last 30 years.

Forty years for "Shake Some Action" like!! Great song. Loved The Smithereens. Often play stuff like The Records, Nick Lowe, Flamin Groovies etc..proper Guitar Pop. Unbeatable.

Realised it was that long ago just after I posted, just made me feel ten years older ! Just started listening to some Flamin'Groovies stuff again, love their version of Louie Louie, the two minute intro is brilliant.
