...no-one's offered to go to the shop for a while, so I'll go. Anyone want anything?
Personally I'm opting for a bag of haribo tangfastics.

Awful to smoke as well but it tasted good when chewed and you'd find little bits in your pockets for weeks afterwards.

Not sure if they still make them as there was some health scare about them but I remember one of the Chinese takeaways getting them in when I was a lad.

Lush they were!

But that's what happens if you insist on buying second-hand. For just a little extra you could have new.

Actually I've decided I would like a Sherbet Fountain but I'm a bit worried about that meaning something entirely different nowadays. I just mean the sweets Grabec and maybe a bag of pickled onion crisps (Tudor).

I'm surprised the big two Cadburys and Mars don't ocassionally go "Retro" and bring back things like Ice Breaker, Cabana, Aztec Bar, Big One etc etc...

The "ket" in America absolutely blew my mind, especially "Butterfingers" bars, "Three Musketeers" choccy and these crisps called "Combos" made by Nabisco.

When we go back I'll have to limit myself to one item a day, not one item an hour like last time...

I liked the Secret chocolate bars they did. No idea who made them like.

Am sure there was a choclate ice cream lolly called "Sky" too which i liked but cant find any photographic proof.

Toffos I miss, especially the mint ones.

If anyone says Highland Toffee bar I also automatically think of the Baths.

Used to love 'crunchies' too but they were crisps not chocolate bars. Dipped in hot chocolate mmmmm

You need to get yourself to the new sweet shop in the shopping centre a few doors along from wh smiths. They sell some American ones including butterfingers and baby ruths!
