The Detroit Cobras version is pretty good as well.

They do hammer certain bands (Bastille and Arcade Fire... 2 bands I'm not fussed on) but it's nice when they mix it up a bit though. Like playing now is the Peep Show theme song

More indie really. I used to love it when I lived in London, and bought a DAB to listen to it when I moved. Then 6Music came along...

6 Music is the bollocks. I don't like Steve Lamacq though, he can be a right snidey twat at times. Radcliffe and Maconie are my faves, although Marc Riley, Gideon and Lauren Laverne are all good. And every Saturday tea time the soundtrack is the funk and soul show. Cerys Matthews on a Sunday morning is great as well.

The best bit about the station is that there are no adverts either. I hate commercial radio with all the shite double glazing patter.

You get a bit of it but not too much. Radcliffe and Maconie do it but they are duds-pissingly funny.

I hate that too mutley, just play the frigging songs!

It's why i dont like radio 1, too many presenters thinking the shows all about them.

Music first, minute of talk in between, then introduce next song, crack on.

Tho i dont mine kate lawler on kerrang, has a lovely voice, the slut!

Chris Doyle. Used to be funny when he was on in the middle of the night many years ago, but then started to believe his own hype and the arse-licking crew he couldn't go anywhere/do anything without.

Since Mark and Lard stopped doing the breakfast show I'd rather hammer bamboo spikes into my ears than listen to Radio 1.

6 Radio for me. The time difference works perfect for the good shows but to be honest I can't think of a bad one. To think they wanted to shut it. Insanity.

I agree about the voice, but I stopped listening to her because she's a prime example of too much talk (and she's not funny). Might have changed like; I only listened to Kerrang in the car and I don't bother anymore now I've liked the phone to the stereo.

Mutts. If you like music, you'll love 6Music.

6Music had a brilliant programme about The Smiths the other night, presented by Tom Robinson. It was The Ultimate The SmithsPlaylist but included Rough Trade label mates and other Manchester bands.

Very good and it'll be on iPlayer if you have a spare 2 hrs you need to fill with sounds of the 80's

See Mutleys favourite DJ turns out to be a tax avoiding 'lovely lovely person' as well as a fat 'lovely lovely person'....

Other radio stations should take a look at 6 and then copy it.

Radio 1 used to be my default, but mainly between 7pm and 6am (i.e. Not the mainstream shows) now I always have 6 on, doesn't matter who the presenter is or the genre its the only station that introduces me to a new band or song every day.
