I thought we started poorly and over the 1st half I was very happy to have a lead. I thought they were the better side. Walton did superbly for the goal n luke James 1st touch and finish were faultless. IMO this was against the run of play and nice to see.

2nd half different story.

I thought we battered them and played the game at walking pace and had this wrapped up before the lucky 2nd went in. That goal was probably he luckiest goal I have ever seen us score.

Williams was simply outstanding. His touch awareness and intelligence with the ball is head and shoulders above the level we are playing. The 3rd goal was fate because he simply deserved that goal.

It was a joy to see all 10 outfield players celebrate the 3rd together. We are now a team and there is no cliques. That celebration pleased me more than the win.

As a team we are gelling, that is clearly three for all to see. We have stuck with walker and again IMO he had his best game for pools today. He is definitely progressing.

Duckworth to come back in aswell, how good!!

Special mention to Collins, 1 big mistake brought a world class tackle from burgess to prevent a goal but aside that he was very good. Cannot be dropped on current form and that includes any new signing

Thought today was Williams quietest game so far but still every time he touched it he oozed class. Hope we can keep him.

Disapointed with Barmby, against tired legs and a team looking for a goal thought would be his ideal scenario.

Barmby tries to do too much, he needs to mix it up a bit.

After we got the second we at back and invited them to attack for about 15 minutes, he is probably referring to that but I don't think it was tiredness at all. Did they manage a shot on goal
Today?

At 2-0 I thought they were all over us, and like most people around me couldnt understand why we didnt make a change sooner.

We had no out ball and every time we cleared our lines it came straight back.

The crowd were clearly getting frustrated, particularly with Harewood who was a virtual passenger by that point. Thought the substitutions perked us up a bit, but have to say the 3-0 scoreline was hard on them, we deffo werent 3 goals better.

i don't think the crowd were particularly frustrated with harewood, as most thought he had a good game. today was the first time i'd seen him play and thought he was excellent in the way he takes the pressure off james, and makes space for him. first sub probably came ten minutes too late as it looks like we can get an hour out of him. we played too deep during their 15 minute spell in the second half, but coped comfortably with everything they had. as for their board claiming they had sixty of the ninety minutes or some such bollocks, so what ? lots of possession but very little imagination. we looked good on the break, and some of the fucking cranks screaming abuse at barmby need shagging with a fence pole wrapped in barbed wire. the only thing he was guilty of was trying a bit hard. he's learning his trade and fucking know-nowts like the mouthbreathers near us need to shake their fucking heads.

the same way Rochdale and Bury weren't against us to be fair. About time the breaks fell for us!! They had lots of ball in danger areas but we defended well and got the ricochets/deflections in both boxes for once!!

we were nowhere near our best, but crucially displayed street wise nouse to get the win. This team has evolved in being able to do that, and that's the most pleasing aspect from today for me

i'm not bothered if harewood doesn't break his duck this season, as you can see instantly the effect he's had on the team and on james in particular. this is a bloke who's had over 5.5 million pounds spent on him in transfer fees over the years, and i think it's a little bit of genius on cooper's part to get him in. the bloke obviously loves playing, isn't afraid to mix it, and will impart absolutely crucial knowledge to the younger players at the club. we might only get an hour out of him for now, but looks a great bit of business.

Loved Harewood's reaction when Luke James got the first, look to have a great understanding and relationship building (in a manly way of course)

The 1st half I thought they were the better team. We were lucky to go in ahead. 2nd half a thought we completely outplayed them.

there are no IQ tests to be a football fan, and no requirement to be neutral and objective

If a person even has those last two characteristics, then they would be able to present a valid viewpoint

Anyway it doesn't matter cos if there's one lesson they should have learned yesterday, it's not to adopt percentage football as their default setting - cos they actually played the ball around well in the second half once they went 2 nil down!! Why would they not want to play like that from the start is only something their manager can answer

Barmby has had very little opportunity in the last couple of weeks, and at his age and lack of experience it is obvious that he is desperate to impress and is going to look to do something special (which we've already seen he is capable of) every time he gets the ball, especially when he only has 12-15 minutes to make an impact. It's a learning curve but to declare yourself 'not impressed' with a very talented lad after a couple of wrong decisions is borderline moronic. I'm sure Cooper, Hignett, and his old man will have a word with him and next time he gets a chance he might get his head up and slide Richards in like he should of or try a couple of simple balls. He did on one occasion absolutely skin his marker in the box with a fine piece of skill nearly resulting in a goal so it wasn't all bad.

After some of the plodding, tedious, mundane shite we've watched over the last few years I'm not going to get over critical towards a kid that tries things that aren't always going to come off.

You said nothing that was untrue about his performance I just think it's understandable why he played like that. I have more of an issue with the not impressed comments.
