Good thing with his Dad being manager is that he wont stand in his way of bettering himself.

Was a fee paid for Duckworth or can we just take their players for nowt like at Darlos level?

Reading between the lines it seems like the lad might not be financially much better off coming to Pools, but it has to be a better chance to progress a career in football.

I can't help thinking that cherry picking non league players for not a lot of money and hopefully bringing them on alongside our own youngsters is a great way to run a football club long term, if you can make it work over the short term.

Im sure his Dad isnt daft and even if we somehow wouldnt offer him what he is currently on then his Dad would be telling him he has to take it regardless.

I like that idea too, non league, more than ever seems to be full of talent thats dropped out of the league at a young age, dennis knights in non league n he was at newcastle n barnsley last year, michael woods who was at chelsea, these kids just lost their way a little bit, but still have talent.

He's not going to give you a trial just because your Dad is Chris Turner.
