Nice gesture from the Bournemouth fans.. raising £3k to cover travelling costs for the 200 Burton fans who travelled down only for the game to be called off.

How come no bugger has ever done this for us?

Long ago in the days before the internet I went to Nottingham station at dinnertime and bought a ticket to travel to see us play at Halifax.

Then I went and bought a paper to see who else was playing that day, and saw that the kick-off at the Shay had been brought forward to 1pm. I worked out that I would have got there in time to see the last half hour.

I got my train ticket refunded but there was a charge of about £3. Please can someone set up a charity account so I can be reimbursed please?

James Beattie paid for the Accrington fans who had travelled to Portsmouth only for it to be off to get into the Southampton v Burnley game.

A great gesture that must have cost him upwards of forty quid.

not being funny like but that kind of gesture belongs in the 1940's.

Getting round the country now is a piece of piss, and isnt really something that needs charity for.

And any football fan that travels all over the country supporting their team does not hand outs.

Did they all travel on horse and carts or something?
