Shakers fan in peace!

Can i first just start with an apology for the behavior of some of our fans on here. I am sure they will be in bed soon. Unfortunately we have a very small minority of knob head key board warriors that supposedly support our club. The little urchins are the embarrassing ones that give it the bigun at Rochdale etc. All clubs have a few idiots i am afraid.

Just back from the game, yes 3-0 did flatter us and we played far better against York. You guys really just seemed to never really get going, you looked a little flat, i think one or two of your players had a bit of an off game. We soaked up a lot of pressure and i thought we defended very well, as two of our defenders were making their debut. I could see glimpses that you could be a very good side, i think if you add one or two experience players to your squad i think you could be a very good team. You have quality players like Poole (he was pretty good when we had him a while back) i just think it was a bad day at the office for you.

Flitcroft has not been here long but the standard of football we are playing its a lot better than under Blackwell. Flitcroft wants to play it on the deck and to be fair the first half againt York was outstanding, the passing was outstanding and we could have been 6-0 at half time. We have quality players in the squad like Miller, Soares, Jones, Sedgewick and Nards but we had a terrible manger at the start of the season who signed 25 plus players and was clueless. I think Flitcroft will get us playing well we will finish mid table this season and then have a good chance of promotion next season, a lot like yourselves in my opinion.

Just one final point that some of you are slightly wrong on is our away support. We have a hard core 2000 ish home support which is not very good, this goes up a bit the higher up the leagues we go. We have so many clubs within a 30 mile radius of us its hard to win new fans, especially with the likes on man utd and city only 10 miles away, but the percentage of home support that goes away is massive and one of the largest of any of the 92 league clubs last season even though we got relegated. In fact in the 2011/2012 season (Promotion) we had the largest away support percentage including the prem. http://www.football-league.co.uk/static ... 570,00.pdf We were never going to take many today as too many people would have been nursing hangovers. This season we have took 1000 to Norwich in the cup on a Tuesday night, over 2000 to Rochdale and even 500 all the way to Portsmouth.

Good luck with the rest of the season!

Well said. I still think those 2 early goals were the key, because everything gets that little more hurried from our point of view
and every mistake becomes a crisis. Not to worry, were used to it. We'll just brush ourselves down and move on to the next game. At least our overall stats were good for todays game ,if not our goals for column. Can't be too greedy, heh!

The shot from Baldwin which he blasted from about 8 yards and was goal bound hit James in the back and went out. Walker had a chance from a yard out in the first few minutes which he hit straight at a defender. It's a fine line and things can easily swing either way. Having said that I thought we lacked a focal point up front again. I would have moved to two up front after their second goal with Monkhouse alongside James.

yeah well if they prod, they will be reverse prodded!!

I agree about the match assertion generally... but why did their fans give it large only after the event?

Is it cos they weren't confident before the match? Not surprising given their season so far

All that was expressed on here was a confidence before the game we would win... no more no less... but if they want to take such comments in the wrong way then fuck' em!!!
