Give them credit where its due Mr Birthmark, the website says limited edition, while stocks last etc. The club shop will have made a few bob out of it too.

The club could have made a lot more than a few bob if they ordered more.

How do they know how many though? What they have got gave sold out quickly great but it's a shirt we won't wear again so I suppose the demand is difficult to gauge. Maybe they could ask who else wants one and order them in?

doubt I'll get one, even though I got my name down in the club shop for one. I was told folks who had pre-ordered first got 1st dibs (provided they pay by card over the phone) otherwise they will miss out.
So for this reason, I have carried my card with me on the off chance, so I can pay if they ring me up and tell me they will reserve one for me

I did them credit but fuck me sold out on a Thursday morning. This tells me there wasnt many at all and 'limited edition' sounds like it means single numbers.

If the club had any sense, they would posted it up a week ago and ask for payment. Then they will know the numbers. Everyone would have 7 days to pay. I'd guarentee the club would have made a "few bob" more if they had done it this way. As a said poor again from the club

I may be well off the mark here but I'm guessing the company who supplies the club shop (not Pools) will have bought any remaining stock from their suppliers, had it branded, and got it in the shop. Pools do the publicity for it and they sell out. It wouldn't surprise me if they start selling it again when stock becomes available. There's only so much Pools are responsible for here, the company who run the shop are the ones pulling the strings.

Have a pop?? Get a Fukn grip

I want 1 of those shirts, I emailed the club and tweeted the club asking of they could sell them, I started a thread on here to see if others agreed the club should sell them. Its hardly having a pop, I'm actually gutted I haven't got 1 if that's ok with you

To sell out on the morning of the 1st day of sales before 11am suggests we hardly put any thought into it.

Having a pop, the irony is unreal as your little narky post is doing just that

Read PoolieinNottinghams post and understand that he might know what he`s on about. I`m not being narky, I`m believing that a man in the same business might know what he`s on about.

"Its a chance to have a pop" was indeed a narky comment

As for mr Nottingham, why on earth would I know what he does for a living. All im saying is the club were aware that there was alot of interest and could have handled this better, is that not correct? 10.34 and none left and as far as I'm aware they open at 10. Could the club have not asked for money in advance and got an exact number required. Then add a few on for people who are skint at the moment. The club will make something out of every shirt so would a little bit of extra effort not been appropiate? How many football shirts are sold and made worldwide on a daily basis, would a few hundred more have been such a big deal?

'A few hundred more'

It's a one off shirt that they had on once and never will again so I don't think the demand is going to be that great. They are also selling it as a 'limited edition' it's hardly limited if they try and sell hundreds and end up having rows of them on the shelves. The idea is that it's limited edition that not many people have.

I think they should maybe order in the shirts for people like you and Mr Parmo so the people who really wanted one have one then stop it there. Then you have your shirt that in the future will be rare and Pools don't have any unsold. Everyone's happy.

I wish I had a quid for every thread Mr Spender has waded into on his high horse and accused someone of 'having a pop'

He wanted a shirt and is disappointed he didn't get one.

In your time supporting Pools have you ever been critical of any aspect of the club?

Have a read of this thread:

http://www.pooliebunker.co.uk/newbunker/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=51535

Particularly this post from me:

"I don't want to sound like a negative twat but getting hold of several hundred (maybe as much as a thousand) of them in a full range of sizes is a different matter.

Because of my job I've got a bit of insight into the supply chain of clothing and footwear. A lot of my customers are retailers who place orders often up to a year in advance of when they need them to be delivered. The vast majority of stuff is made in China (including the Pools kits I believe), and to keep costs down it is sea freighted, which can take a couple of months.

If there is a decent amount of tops in a range of sizes stockpiled somewhere in Europe then I'd imagine the company running the Pools shop would be able to get them embroidered and in the club shop within a few weeks if they thought there would be enough demand to justify it.

What would be great is if Uncle Ken has been plotting the whole thing all along, and there's a load of finished tops sitting in Russ's garage as we speak, just waiting for the press releases to go out this week."

It's frustrating that not everyone who wants a top has been able to get one (I want one meself), but it seems to me like the club and the shop have done their best to get hold of some and have made a few bob from it.

Hopefully this will have shown them that there is demand, and they may be able to get some more from stockpiles, or get an order in a production schedule soon. Even if they did this a few weeks ago, getting stuff turned round that quick when its made in China isn't easy.

A massive retailer like M&S doesn't get stuff produced and in the shops in less than a couple of months, so be patient with them and everyone might get what they want.

I completely see your point and I get that its not as straight forward as I originally thought but I still think they could have dealt with this better. How many shirts were actually available because it can't have been many. I know they said limited edition but fuck me to sell out of all adult sizes in just 34 minutes on a Thursday morning, something dosnt sound right there does it. Im guessing 2 of each size were made which is quite shocking if true.

Does anyone know how many were made??

Also reading the other thread in was a bit ott with a 1000 but a few hundred could easily be sold, especially at this time of year

White badge on blue stripe would cost no more than £25 per pop ... I reckon..

Most embroidery places charge a £20 set up fee then usually about £5 per badge.. That's what I got charged for Pearl Bar last year.

So how about we look for numbers then get them done for £25 a shirt with any profits going to charity?.. Or we could go for the NBE ( no badges elite)

http://www.kitking.co.uk/product/nike-s ... hirt/10707 <<< Link to website... Think we'd need an order for at least 10 to make this worthwhile

Badge would be white on blue stripe..

This is a brilliant idea. Count me in for an XL.

One of my customers is Kustomized in Derby, who do custom embroidery among other things. I'm pretty sure I'd get a decent rate from him and I know he does a good job. If someone gets hold of the shirts I don't mind sorting out that side of it.

If you did them in an age 5-6 I'd be interested for the boy seeing as Pools don't make anything at all for kids of that age.

Well I'd want at least two so that's four up to now .. So what do we think could end up making some money for a Charity ( I suggest Mr Smythe's nominated one) unless someone has a more deserving cause..

Available in XS boy Mr R... could have a dad and lad pairing!

PS we already have permission off the badge's owner to use it !

I went in the shop Mr Bep, the lass in there said that the XSB was age 6-8. Now I know that there is a lot of obesity about nowadays but you'd have to be a very big fat 6 year old to wear that and it not be a dress. It'd fit an 8 year old no bother and maybe not be too bad on a 7 year old, but they do absolutely nowt after age 3-4 until you get to that 7-8 year old size.

P.S. Nike do an age 5-6 cos I've got him the England kit instead, it's just that Pools don't bother getting them in that size even though they have admitted that they could if they wanted to order them.

Ripper my lad used to wear replica shirts at 4 and he's definitely not a porker!

I'm thinking we'll struggle if anyone wants them for Christmas now but its do able for January (wearable in King Johns from Feb onwards unless your oldshirt is in a nike carrier bag)..

Get the numbers over the weekend (I'm thinking we'll need at least 10 firm orders) . I'll slam an order in get them delivered to Mr PiN to orgainse the embroidery..
