Literally... Some thieving dishonest little not nice people around. Walking through Billingham town centre, dropped my wallet then walked about 10-15 metres until I realised, turned round to go get it and some 'lovely lovely person' of a chav was like "Ere mate you dropped your wallet" He quickly scurried away, I check my wallet and realised the 'lovely lovely person' had helped himself to a £20 reward!

I'd say you should be grateful for him returning your wallet. He could have kept quiet and fleeced your cards.

I'd say you need to take care in future, and keep your wallet safe - especially in Nam - Billingnam

If he can find a way to fleece my cards then fair play to the kid.

But If I honestly seen somebody drop their wallet, it wouldn't even cross my mind about nicking money from it.

I was out in Newcastle a few weeks ago and found a wallet on the road near the train station, it had the lads driving licence in and fair bit of cash. The bobby I handed it in to was almost astonished at what I'd done.

It's fairly bad state of affairs when that's the case.

Its an even worse state of affairs in that I wouldnt trust the bobby and if his name etc is in there then id more than likely try to find him on facebook etc to return it.

I once had my credit cards nicked but I didn't report it for 3 months.

When the police asked why it had taken so long to report it I said to the police "The thieves are using them less than my wife".

my friend made a big error in morrisons a few weeks ago, he got cash back at the self serv and in his rush he forgot it, realised about 2 minutes later and went back to try n retrieve it, alas the money was not there.

When they checked cctv a man walked up to the machine just after my mate left, with his young kid, and pocketed the money, my mate was close enough to him he could have rolled it up n threw it at him.

Trust no one these days.

I was daft enough to do that in Asda in Billingham, paid for something with my card and got £40 cash back, walked away forgetting to take it. Luckily some old woman chased me about half a mile down the road with my money.. Suppose not all people in Billingham are that bad.

Thinking about it, maybe I just shouldn't be trusted with money at all..

A couple of years ago just back from Holiday went and got some stuff from Sainsbury's on the self service paid for it and walked out of the shop.

It was only when I went in boot of the car when I got home I realised I 'd walked out without the three bags of shopping! They were out the back for me when I went back to fair and I was pretty jet lagged.
