are you sure he wasn't talking about a loan shark from Newcastle who I owe money to?

Good attacking midfielder on Champ Man. Lively and can run with the ball.

I suspect Colin Cooper may have the attention of quite a few people in the footballing world who would see Pools right now as a good place for players to come and develop regardless of the level the club is at. Finance may be a sticking point, but if Newcastle get a player back who is fit for first team football and has had a few tough competitive games under his belt the league they were in would be irrelevant.

"Vuckic’s hopes may be complicated by the financial requirements of the transfer. The Journal understands that many clubs have been put off by United’s insistence that they want a sizeable percentage of his wages covered by the loan club. "

Thats us out then.

Why not? He's nowhere near the first team n it's a short trip down the road.

Little old Hartlepool mentality.

I just think having seen him a few times he's well above our level and I doubt Newcastle would want him playing in L2 when he's capable of playing in the championship. I could be wrong but I find it highly unlikely!. Its got nothing to do with the size of the club, its the level we play at!

Matty Dolan & Christian Burgess both players with ability to play at a higher level, both on loan to Hartlepool. If the lad is settled in the North East, has the chance of first team games and is somewhere he can be watched by his club it would be a more attractive option than warming the bench and getting 20 minutes in the Championship.

You could say that about any loan from a higher level!

I live in Newcastle and Vuckic just seems to have a fairly big reputation, I get the impression from my Newcastle following mates that he's way too good for our level! You never know though.

Oh and I dont think most these big clubs care about where their players go on loan if you look at where most loanees from our big 3 end up! LuaLua at Brighton, Dolan at Yeovil, Adam Reed at pompey, Blair Adams at Coventry, James Tavernier at Shrewsbury, Curtis Main at Shrewsbury etc etc!

Some or these 'bigger 'clubs must not do much research or don't care about the the development of younger players if they are prepared to let them go and play for a bloke like that.

I suppose he'll learn how to waste time, cynically foul people and smash it long plus they'll buy another five players from France while he's away. Win win.

yep. But in Cooper we trust... clearly we have a good football man who, in a year's time, will have more in his locker than a lot of long time lower league bosses will ever have
