Having only played poker online, I fancy a go at live poker.

Has anyone on the board played in the town
and can anyone recommend where in the town if any, do a poker night ?

I'm aware of the Gala Casino in Stockton but too far to travel.

Thanks.

Used to take going to Riley's two or three times a week for granted. Bit of a shame really

The original game in Riley's was the best this town has had and that's a FACT. The gaming laws ruined it and she didnt have the balls to keep it the same even though there would have been no proof and everyone left. We had 50 players every Monday for £20 freeze out and 50+ for the £10 rebuy on a Thursday. The Thursday game was generating around £1200-£1500 each week and compare that to the £250 it changed to, I agree with tree it became a joke.

The TDS used to have a cracking poker day on a Sunday all good lads playing used to be a rebuy for 2 hours abd there was always a good prize payout and it all turned to shit when a few big spenders turned up each week just going all in all the time and then buying back in and keep doing it and in the end you are gonna hit something it just spoilt the game

Agreed, Thursdays used to be quality, always absolutely bouncing. But yeah things did start to change and we stopped going

I could be up for that. Only played in Riley's once, think was £10 freeze out. I basically sat out for 45minutes while sussing out if it was jut idiots who didn't have a clue. Anyway picked up aces, re raised a guy pre flop and he went over the top for 90% of his stack with q9. No
Need to say what happened next.

I'd probably be game for that like..

I used to enjoy the shoot out I think it was called, if you knocked somebody out you kept their chip worth £5 or £10. Won that one before.
