Have a look at the end of the season. They paid thousands to buy millions of debt. 18 months at least. Noble but stupid.

So what was the alternative for Pompey? Get in another foreign Doyle n shell out millions to players that they are still paying years later.

Fan ownership is the future for most clubs at this level. Exeter and Swansea have shown it can work.
