Still fuming from last night's reverse, I thought we'd have gotten at least a point at Newport. Just looking at the next fixtures: Northampton at home, (which will be a tough game considering they've just beaten Fleetwood at home), Bury away and Portsmouth at home. All potentially very winnable games but all that require Pools to knuckle down and grind them out, much in the way of the home wins against Wimbledon and Plymouth.

Hopefully the lads will take heed of Cooper's words last night. Everyone is much of a muchness in this league, it requires 100% effort every game, but three very winnable games coming up and looking at the table those 9 points would propel us back well up there, still only 5 points from the play offs. Even Exeter who have been utterly gash for the past 4 games are still only 2 points off the playoffs. That's why it was so frustrating to see us lose last night against a functional outfit like them because this league, if you have the quality, is very much for the taking.

Here's hoping for 9 points and momentum to take into a very difficult cup game against Coventry.

Nights like last night happen. This division is a bizarre one, teams again going through runs, Mansfield have now dropped below us not long ago there was almost a league between us.. few wins and you will be in shout of top spot. I'll be happy 4 or 5 pts off top at turn of year
