panel meeting.

Is it now against club rules that season tickets stubs MUST NOT be sold on if the holder cannot attend a game.

The action listed is that turnstyle operators must see the whole book and not just the stub,so if they have the book is it ok and stubs only will be refused entry.

Or are we not allowed to sell/pass on at all.

I have never sold a stub but have given one away (just the stub) and recently sold friendly tickets on behalf of someone who could not get to the game.

So from now on is advertising tickets for sale not allowed. sctatchinghead

I think the rule is that season tickets are not transferable, so anyone doing it is breaking club rules.

I did wonder on this as it does say on the book rules that tickets are not transferable and MUST NOT be sold or bartered.

Turnstile operators couldn't give a fuck so it won't be enforced.

What annoys me is people who hand the full season ticket to the operator for them to rip It out and hold the fucking queue up. Simply rip it out in front of them For Christs sake.

Anyone selling the tickets also commits the offence of ticket touting which is a criminal offence.

Isn't ticket touting selling on for a profit? ie selling the ticket for more than its stated value?

The value is £150 divided by 23, that is £6.52, so if you sell it for a tenner it is for a profit!!

Ticket touting and football

Touts will often try to sell tickets outside football grounds at inflated prices. However, resale of football tickets is illegal under section 166 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. This Act stipulates that it is an offence for an unauthorised person to sell a ticket for a designated football match or otherwise dispose of such a ticket to another person.

It's always been that tickets are non-transferable, the question came up and the party line was stated. Nothing's changed so I'm guessing the risks are still exactly the same in giving it/selling it to someone.

Chip's posted at the same time with the same kind of thing...

But the minutes from the fans panel meeting state action will now be taken,so next time uncle Tom Cobbley and all ask on here for a ticket for sale point them in the direction of the ticket office. More dosh in the pot for us.

Section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 makes it an offence to tout tickets for football matches by creating the following offence for an unauthorised person to:Sell a ticket for a designated football match orOtherwise to dispose of such a ticket to another personAs Section 166 has been in place over a number of years the practice of ticket touts wishing to sell tickets for football matches has therefore evolved finding different ways to get round the legislation such as the following

Offering an item of nominal value – for example a pen, scarf or pin badge – at an inflated price with the inclusion of a “free” match ticketOffering tickets in exchange for other goods or services
Offering unauthorised hospitality style packages with a ticket included – this meant that they were effectively ticket touting with a further expensive service tagged on also
As Section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act was starting to become outdated and less able to combat ticket touting surrounding football matches the Government have brought in new legislation which now amends the act.

End of the day even if u just buy stubs off a mate etc and they start clamping down you could always just take along an old season ticket book in a holder and pretend to rip it out at the turnstile.

Because Pools sold the season ticket at a ridiculously low price .. It is criminal that people are trying to make money out of the tickets. The only people making money out of on the day sales should be pools..

The words presented may not be the ones inputted ..Thanks Tapatalk

maybe they would if ticket prices werent so expensive for pay-on-the-day fans?

and not wanting to go over old ground but season tickets were only 'low' if you had 150 snodgers to burn in one go, not everyone does...

Though most people could find a tenner every fortnight or once a month im sure for the odd game.

Season ticket swapping should be encouraged IMO, helps keep the ground full and people in there will more than likely buy beer, food, programme, lottery etc.

The fact is that the majority of people who get to games by buying a ticket off another fan or using a freebie are not arsed enough to pay £20-25 on the door.

The season ticket offer is a great one but someone at Pools is deluded if they think the gate price isn't putting off people who want to go to 3 or 4 games a year when they can make it.

(Warning Fetish Bob styleee ramblings below)

If it was up to me I'd go with something like this next year:

Adult Season ticket: £200 (seats), £180 (terraces)
OAPs and Students: £150 (Anywhere)
13 - 19: £150 (anywhere)
U13: £80

Then I'd sell match day tickets like this:
Adults: £15 Advance,£18 on the day (terraces) & £17 or £20 (Seats)
OAPs and Students: £10 or £12 (anywhere)
U19s: £10 or 12 (anywhere)
Kids: £5 when bought with adult ticket, £8 on the door.

I'd also allow people to buy a block of 5 tickets in advance for any 5 league games of their choice, starting at £65 for 5 adult tickets.

IMO the above will sell nearly as many season tickets, but do far less to alienate people who can't pull out for a season ticket or who don't want to commit to one. The prices aren't massively under what we see now but stick under that £20 barrier and people will come.

Pools should lower the advance ticket prices to a tenner now and scrap this idea for trying to get another 50snots off people for this stupid ticket...

The words presented may not be the ones inputted ..Thanks Tapatalk

I think it's more complex than that - clubs have to fix their on the day admission prices before the start of the season and now we've done that, the only thing Pools can do is offer a part-season ticket

If we dropped the prices on the day, then we'd have to do it for away fans... and then there would be repercussions from the fans of those teams who have already paid 25 quid

I think Pools have to stick with the part ST... there is no other option until next season now

Why dont they just ask for photo id with the ticket and check the name on id to the ticket. Isnt this the most simplest thing in the world to implement.

However this would case a problem as people cant then swop or sell ticket and no one is going to pay £25 on the door to watch Pools so would be less people in the ground spending less money.

it's easier to just accept trades/sell ons will occur and try n police it n use it in a positive way like everton, they have forums set up where fans can swap tickets n pass on ones for games they cant make.

i full expect bob to post a very pro pools how dare people swap tickets reply in a minute.

Once I went to Pools with our lasses season ticket instead of my own, she went shopping. Should I grass myself up to the club and take my punishment like a man?

They are slow enough when there are only 2 people in the queue never mind having to check ID etc

Can safely say I wouldnt even bother going if they introduced this ludicrous idea.

I was just saying its easy to implement but very flawed and wont work for the reasons mentioned above.

Also why cant you do what you want with you own ticket anyway if I buy a ticket for a gig or the cinema /theater and I cant go you just give it to a mate. Why is this different with footy tickets?

I'm sure there's an easier way out of this!!! Go to one of them photo booths with make up and a wig, and stick that in your lass's season ticket book... then just dress up like that every home game!!! Phew that would have been a close call otherwise
