Anyone else aware they have have removed sky sports from the ground, we had to be content with house under the hammer in the centenary lounge. Yet another money saving exercise.

Don't the BBC run a rolling results service on the red button? They'd even better off putting radio5 on ..numpties

Might be a one for the Fans Panel? Seems daft as you say, and especially as we have Jeff Stelling as a club ambassador.

And Sky are robbing bastads.. Enquired about sky sports for the rig they wanted 50 snots per cabin per month .. With 50 cabins that's quite a bit of dish and it was an all or nothing scenario.. Probably a similar scenario at pools..ie per TV.. Think about but I'll soon add up to weeks wages for Rodney..

I'd argue that Pools doesn't need Sky. Apart from the world's hardest to view public TVs over the Mill House bar it was only in the Centenary lounge and the boxes, so if it saves a few quid then who cares?

At the end of the day I go to Pools to watch the stuff on the pitch and if the club pisses less away on things that don't matter to 90% or more match-goers than we should applaud them.

Now about these bottle tops...

Totally agree with this, if we are struggling for money then lets cut where it's not essential and concentrate on the playing side!

Might be do with Sky losing the 12:45 premiership kick offs and the club don't feel it's worth paying the money each month to show Championship games before kick off.

Also a possibility Joe.

The main thing is that this is a proper non-issue that really doesn't affect most of us and certainly doesn't influence the probability of getting points on the board.

As I said it makes sense to put BBC final score on though if possible..No sense at all paying for a channel just to have Jeff Stelling on..

can't say I'm bothered that the club have cut back in such an area... the relaities of business are that when cutbacks need to be made across the entire company, then non-essentials go out of the window tout de suite

wouldn't bother me, so many people check scores on their phones now anyway.

I'd rather see Pools games from yesteryear on the screens, play off semi finals, batterings of barnet etc, or even though compliation videos that somebody made and put on youtube, might actually cheer me up as well!

Give it time Mr Spender unless the council gives in over the ground. The similarities are stacking up!

Name one 'similarity' Fatty? If they are stacking up that should be quite easy.

Chairman falling out with the council over his master plan regarding your ground.

The teles, and no cash for wages budget.

There's three PJ.

'His master plan regarding your ground' The master plan has fuck all to do with Hodcroft.

'The Teles' sctatchinghead

Our wage budget is probably in the top half of the division.

I suggest you haven't got a fucking clue what you're talking about. Comparing Pools to the abomination that was Darlington FC is wishful thinking and laughable.

we have a box for every game and see what happens up there. I have never watched a 12:45 game up there for over a year as they always have football saturday on. What its like in the centenary suite I don't know. After saturdays game KH had asked one of the staff to change the channel to Ceefax!!!! I know this to be fact as i heard it being asked from our box!! Reason was because BT sports is shite. Now ceefax has been osolete for how long? I also know that Sky was £2,400 per year, and since BTSport has been on takings in the centenary suite have been disastrously low. So even though it cost the club over 2k it's never lost money until this year, an error that KH is trying hard to rectify. Shouldn't be to difficult though because Colin Cooper has it in his office!!!!

I'd have thought a hell of a lot more than £2400 a year.

Loads more, for pubs and clubs it's £800+ a month.

Edit just checked; For a decent sized pub to have Sky and BT Sports you're talking £1,300 a month.

if you want a different channel so an extra box is required..you don't get it for the extra tenner a month or whatever.. no siree.. not if Sky think you're a profitable business (well actually they don't care or even think about that at all actually).... they screw you for a second full price subscription!!

No wonder I just beamed the house one into the lounge room... fuck em!!!!!

And the magistrates at Hartlepool didn't fine me ha!Ha!ha! Good old liberal hand wringing excuses eh? Cos I plaeded guilty Sky didn;t send a barrister/ lawyer so excuse me if I laugh at taking advantae of being the first publican in Hartlepool to go to court over copyright... and take advantage of the less-than-clued-up magistrtaes
