I'm afraid no plan is too ridiculous in the drive to dismantle the NHS. Who will be trained to do the jobs of firefighters who are diverted to medical duties?
But evidence that a plan won't work, or will probably cost twice as much as paying a few more paramedics won't enter into it.

Isn't it already happening in an undercover way? A Fireman mate of mine told me they are already carrying Defribulators etc in case they need them.. Fireman are like insurance policies fookin useless unless you need them..

PS All those who criticise what happens on a night shift in the fire service have NEVER worked a nightshift in their life.. Try functioning at 100% at 4am take it from me its fookin hard

Isnt it a good idea for them to carry defibs? They are easy to use and increase a persons chance of survival after a cardiac arrest massively.

Not really. Defibrillators are in use in many sports centres these days.
Taking one with you in case of need isn't the same as being used as a paramedic.

I could help by being deliberately contrary, and getting the usual suspects to bite.

Very true, just been on the refresher course again. A useful tool to have around.
