Where's verbalkint? Those builders I was on about before....they've been crashing about outside, drilling and what not, all morning. On a Sunday. That's illegal, isn't it?

I've been out and told them I'm making an official complaint. I'm telling you all this in case they return at dead of night and burn down my house in revenge

I think there's some law or other against doing noisy building work on Sundays, bank hols and after 1pm on Saturdays, in residential areas.

Sorry just seen your post ive been working all day

What sort of job are they doing is it a extension? never heard of a rule about not working on a Sunday ive worked plenty of them and its usually common sense not to start the mixer up before 9 or any noisy plant and keep the radio down. Out of interest what area of the town are we talking about ??

Ive told you make them a cuppa and a few hob nobs (chocolate) on a plate and they will love you  dont piss them off or they might brick your door up like they did to Arthur Pringle on Auf Wiedershen

No, not an extension. They're building a little estate of houses that no-one normal will be able to afford, purposely to annoy me and make our house look scruffy.

It's in Durham, which is fast becoming one large building site. I am not going to give them any hobnobs, and I can't find out whether this Sunday thing is a law,or just summat that can be enforced at the discretion of councils.

There is no room for subtle nuances when you're trying to frighten a group of noisy builders. And just writing ABAB in biro won't work either.

I suspect nothing anyone will do will make a difference. Just have to put up with it, and the site manager says they won't finish until Christmas. That's probably builder-speak for Easter.

Then we'll have yuppies in designer gear living over the road.

I meant the assumption that Mme grabec doesn't have the tattoo already. :angry-tappingfoot:

I heard she had eyes tattooed on her eyelids so she looks awake when she is asleep and that she was planning a full sleeve as a tribute to Jack Compton. Didn't think basic lettering was her style though.

I have to admit I already look pretty frightening first thing in the morning. Sometimes even the cat gives a small yelp of fear when I show up.

Oh it is so tempting to formulate a double entendre, however on this occasion I will resist banghead
