Just reading CC and Tinkler's comments with regard to he likes high fitness and tempo I was wanting to play devils advocate here and if the big lump does come back what will this mean?

If he comes back he will still be on our books and will have to pay him. Would he turn into another Luscombe or potentially could CC and this added fitness turn a sows ear into a silk purse?

Just bringing it up but I dont want him to come back at all however if we are stuck with him would be stupid not to have him in the squad.

No chance of us playing high tempo football with current squad. I hope Cooper is well aware that we must be the slowest team in the football league.

It would be more stupid to have him in the squad if he were a bar to progress, though? Better pay someone not to play than pay him to play and lose.

Tree, surely we have quite a few nippy players? In fact, more nippy ones than slow ones?

One of Coopers mentors was Bruce Rioch who ruled with an iron fist I just hope he brings that attitude with him. However you can not learn an old dog new tricks so whilst he may well influence the likes of Baldwin and James I think he will struggle with Monkhouse, Collins and of course Howard. On that note how will Howard react with his big mate Barron gone.

After comments he made in an interview a few month back I think his time with the club is over, claiming he came back too soon etc.. Hopefully Sheff Wed will have him.

I read the other day in the Yorkshire post that Dave Jones is interested in keeping Howard for next season after a good showing during his loan spell rolf

Did it say Shay Given to Hartlepool in that paper?

I hope Howard does go back to Sheff Wed (or somewhere else). Just to free up some money to bring in new faces to freshen it up. I think it depends on which newspaper you read which story you get with each and every club in the country. One of the Sunday papers had Wednesday chasing Shoala Ameobi which would rule them out of going for Howard.Or you would have thought it would.

I Remember reading an article when Newcastle got relegated in 2009 that said he was on £40,000. We all know papers never lie. I'd be amazed if someone who has a been at a Premiership club for so long would be on as 'little' as that. On that sort of money I doubt he can even afford to buy the full VIP area a bottle of Grey Goose or fill his hot tub up with 20's and post it on Twitter.

I almost feel sorry for him.

Last time I saw him in Tup Tup he bought everyone a bottle of Cristal on our tables. For someone who doesn't drink that was pretty cool.

Quite down to earth is Shola, good family man. Looks after his sister and cousins, his brother seems to be doing ok on his own like!
