Just walked along seaton and i know there was butcher's between ernie Nichols and the marine, used to sell the loveliest pork sarnies in the softest buns, but can't for the life of me remember the name i know it was named after the owner.

Anyone remember it? sctatchinghead

Haven't got an answer for you, discussing with the wife, we used to call in there for pork and stuffing sandwiches when we both worked at Tioxide.

That's it. well done Mr Elkots. I remember he had an unusual first name, but couldn't think what it was.

When we used to be regulars his dad was still working with him, shuffling about in the background, probably in his eighties.

Every Sunday morning with the kids and the father in law on the No.12 double decker from raby road to Seaton. Got off at Newburn Bridge and walked along the beach. Wore the kids out and then a portion of pork crackling from Winston Heywoods. Half an hour in the park and 15 minutes in the arcades. No. 12 back and in the old Buffs (now the new Rovers) for the quiz !! Great days

Tide must have been really low today. Most I've ever seen of the forest !

Thinking about the state of the place last time I was there it would be a good caption for a photo of the council.
