The more I read the more I like. The guy seems to be hell bent on being a manager and realises this is his chance. I feel he's using us a stepping stone but that can only happen through success so its a win win.

Love the fact he realises friendships with other clubs is key regarding loans. Head seems screwed on and I'm now excited again.

Listening to the pools world interview, I can't believe he's never been given an opportunity before. Good luck Colin but when you are huge success and Boro come calling, just remember who gave you the opportunity.

If he takes his phone up Kilimanjaro like he said I think he might be disappointed.

I wasn't overly entrawled by Cooper being appointed but fair play to the bloke he's put his head on the block when he could have his being a youth team or ressie coach. I really hope the bloke is allowed to manage though and given the backing from IOR to make changes and bring back the feel good factor. The bloke will also need time .

Good luck Cooper & Hignett

Hopefully Jonny he dosnt need backing as much if he abuses the loan system. Just a hunch but I'm thinking well use this massively this season

Great appointment 'pool.
He was our assistant at Bradford City under Peter Jackson and when Jackson went Cooper took over for a while.
Most City fans wanted him appointed but the board had other idea's.

As such Coops decided to leave and go back to Middlesbrough.
Best wishes and I hope that Cooper does the business for you - as I said - a great appointment.

Coops was loved at Millwall and will make a great number 1 for you boys. Would like him to do well for Hartlepool and in time become the boss down at the Den.

He is a top bloke and will bring you success this season.

Would have taken him now despite his lack of managerial experience to replace Kenny Jackett. You have got somebody who will go on to be a sort after manager.
