I've said for ages that the stuff Matt Johnson wrote in the early 80's is more relevent today than ever, not just songs like Armageddon Days and Sweet Bird Of Truth, but the material dealing with the general decay and decline of this country like Heartland and The Beat(en) Generation. Soul Mining, Infected and Mind Bomb are three of my favourite albums of all time. Johnson is without doubt one of the most talented and visionary songwriters of the modern era.
