'We need big hearts'

No John, what we need is some tactical nouse, the right players picked and set up properly, to see the last of some of the most shameful players to ever dare registering with the PFA and to have a manager who doesn't talk bollocks.

If you'd dropped useles players earlier, had shown faith with the lineup that won you manager of the month and had the spine to show Howard the door earlier or to tell the chairman where to shove his job when he didn't back you in the loan market, then maybe we'd have a fighting chance.

'Tactical nous'

What tactics would see our squad win games at this level?

We're absolutely shite.

in terms of having a go at teams, even the worst Pools teams in division 4 could look like winning at the Vic. This lot is easily going to break the club record for fewest outright home league wins in a season.

They are outright the worst side I have ever watched in being so uncompetitive and considering the money they earn..... they have been a disgrace to the shirt this season

And how anyone can mention the word legend with Humphreys and infer he is worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as those stars from the 50's or people like Brian Honour, Billy Ayre, Paul Baker, Keith Nobbs etc... THOSE blokes were legends. Humphreys is a shell of a player, pea-hearted and the most over rated player we've ever had. I would set up a direct debit from my bank to never see him in our shirt again.

I am fucking sick of the sight of that fucker

I see nothing to disagree with in your comments but I bet the useless twat is here next season. What amazes me more is that even on here, some people can't bear the thought of him fucking off and are suggesting he becomes a coach. On what possible evidence should he be allowed to coach anyone?

Humphreys was a solid servant; he contributed much and to overlook that is wrong. What he needed was to be advised when he should hang up his boots.

What the fuck has he contributed in the last five years that couldn't have been done for a whole lot less money? He went on that farcical unbroken run despite many god awful performances. He has been mainly shit in all that time. He is a fucking cancer within that football club and has been for many years.

As for being a servant; oh do give over, he's been very well paid.

It might say more about how bad we than it does about Humps but I thought we missed him today. Walton, Humphreys, Baldwin is as good as our midfield has looked all season and we were actually winning some games.

When Sweeney went off it would have been back to that.

I hate the word servant/loyal. Of course your going to be a servant if your getting paid and your employer are daft enough to continue to employ you.

How many people would retire from a very well paid job whilst in their early 30s when repeatedly offered new contracts?

The fault lays at the door of those mangers who have repeatedly played him although its obvious there is a lot of pressure from above to ensure he features

So, where all those who voted Humps player of the century so wrong?

Yes, managers should have told him to stop before now.

And as for these conspiracy theories, have you all heard that today's referee was one of the many love children of George Reynolds?

I have been watching pools for 20 years so have seen some poor football but also all the relative success we have had. However I was speaking with my dad today who has been watching 47 years and he thinks this is the worst team he has seen. This could just be emotions speaking but it does have me wondering. It is the worst I have seen.

This when taken in the context of how stable the club has been for years and how well paid the players are compared to the ones who were at the club when each week was a struggle, makes them look even worse.

I'd bet the any of the teams that managed re-election would batter the current side.

A better question would be 'who counted the votes'?

I don't know anyone who voted in that ridiculous award.

Are you suggesting we might not make the cut?

I remember our first promotion but I also remember our first relegation a year later.
We weren't good enough for this division then. And don't even talk about money – Gus the bus wasn't called that for nowt.

But we did give it a fist and we were only two points shy of safety. Like-for-like we were probably better then than we are now. Well, at least, if what you all are saying about the present team is to be believed.

If you are to be believed that is.

Is this the loyal servant of the club that openly admitted to getting a manager sacked?

Some player of the century he is and I have no affinity to him at all please just go away, he hasn't been good enough for pools for five years and only will get an undiserved coaching job as his nose is browner than Lenny Henry's.
