From when I looked other day, I think sheff utd had one of the easiest run ins. If its possible to have an easy run in that is. They seem to struggle to break teams down easily so at least their run in against teams needing wins or who have no pressure will help them out. Doncaster seem to be struggling suddenly as do brentford. Iv been thinking tranmere will drop away all season but keep hanging on, plus you already have them covered. Personally I had a few quid on Yeovil Each way at 25/1 the other day as like you said there areno stand out teams barring Bournemouth. 6 wins on the trot now and beatibg the top teams. (Over evens again at hime to scunny on saturday)Can't see Bournemouth blowing it to be honest, quick skilful players always get you out of this division (were similar to qpr and plymouth imo) and with the confidence they have, doubt will be overturned.

Out of the ones u mentioned I'd be going for sheff u as closest contenders, seem to be clicking and bringing in decent players but I'd be very happy to be in ur position without backing another.

I know if you've got the time and the inclination along with a bit of brains you can make some good money out of gambling if it's done selectively, but for your average mug punter it's a complete swizz.

The proof of how the bookies rip off the mugs was on Talksport this morning when the bloke from BetFred came on and said Man Utd and Real Madrid are both odds on to qualify for the next round of the European Cup. Surely, mathematically, pure odds in a two horse race that has to have a winner must reflect each other?!

Anyone who plays them roulette machines for more than a couple of quid a go is a nutter. I only ever play roulette in a casino for a laugh. But I agree with Chip I have seen a bloke in Coral sit there and loose about £200-£300 in about ten minutes.

I used to go on the roulette when I was bit younger, so easy to lose money. Now I might whack £2/£3 in if I've got change from a footy bet

I watched Sissoko for the best part of four years and he was an excellent player right through that period. Couldn't believe it when I found out how young he was the first year I was here. Just signing him would have improved Newcastle a lot.

Cant you lay off or spread bet or any of the other stuff you do on other bets on this game so you get some cash back?

As you may recall back in early November as an early Christmas present I posted these words of wisdom to Bunkerites :

I think there are worse bets around than Bournemouth to get promoted at 4/1. Like Langdon says Pugh, Grabban, McQuoid and Barnard are all Championship players.

There doesnt appear to be a standout team in the league this year and you could even argue that at 12/1 they are worth a shilling or two to win the title, as are Tranmere at 7/1.

Obviously I'm on Bournemouthat 4/1 and again at 10/3 to get promoted, Ive also backed them at 12/1, 10/1 and 7/1 to win the league-and fwiw I'm on Tranmere at 15/2.

I wont be laying my bets off for the promotion aspect as I think thats nailed on and it pays for the summer holidays in the south of France.

However I'm considering another saver on the outright market. Swindon, Sheff Utd, Donny, and Brentford are all around the 7/1-8/1 mark, do any of them strike you as possibles ? The alternative is laying Bournemouth at 13/8 which I dont really want to do.

I can think of solid reasons for opposing all of them but cant be boshed to check the fixture lists and what have you, as got loads on at work at the mo.

Thoughts ?

Chip, Back Wilson & Rovers . Wouldn't bother with the Robins & the Bees. I would have said Cov before their manager moved on today.

Better still stick it all in Premium bonds & see a return. Fook the bookies. As you say it's all stacked in their favour anyway unless you take the time to out think them.

Nah I didn't go crazy to be honest. They have had two goals disallowed now for offside that were both onside- not my night. Take it on the chin.

Ah well, sometimes things just go against you, better off saving your money for another day.

Spurs/Lyon has been a canny game, 2 very good goals, one from Bale & a beauty from Lyon's left back to equalise.

About ten years ago when I worked for Ladbrokes, there was one bloke who used to come in at roughly the same time every afternoon to feed the roulette/virtual racing machine. He would just sit there feeding it £20 notes, one afternoon he did two grand in cold blood in about 45 minutes. He did win about £1500 one day, but I daren't think how much he lost in the long run.
