Just read the report from today's reserve match and his name is mentioned over and over. Scored 2, hit the woodwork twice both from 25 yards and 1 of his goals was a 30 yard free kick.

Sign the fucker up!!!

Super, super den........

Knowing pools well say he should have had a hat-rick and release him though

Sounds like a decent free kick taker, one of the ones that hit the woodwork was from a free kick too.

The difference between him and Howard is Knight and Day. He menaced the Grimsby defence all afternoon.

Another potentially good acquisition though the chances of him coming here now we have AGAIN told the world about it....I think borders on Zero! banghead

Fine declaring him just tone down how well he played it alerts others but that's probably the intention.....it's happens numerous times it will be on sky next!

I doubt other club scouts are reading the bunker to see how a released Newcastle youngster played in a reserve match

Or if he has and agent (which is 100% nailed on) then it will be them who is telling every tom dick and harry about his game not Pools.

well the mail and the echo are printing that he was good, what are pools supposed to do censor the press?

As compo says the lad will probably have his head screwed on and have an agent, who'll be touting him all over the shop.

A young lad has one good reserve performance against Grimsby reserves and its as if we've unearthed the new Messi

Mmmmm quite correct ^ However I was using this as an example as it happens all the time. I agree I don't know the first thing about the lad, he may not fit the bill. I also don't think the press would be swarming all over a reserve game with Grimsby would the club not lead with the report/story.

I havent anyone play for ages, but how bad would you have to be, not to better than any player in a team so far adrift as pools are at the bottom?

It amuses me no end when people say we should only bring players in if they are better than we have.

Isnt everyone better than we have?

He's worth a daft contract till the end of the season, why the hell not? We have nothing to lose and probably the worst return of any strikers of any club in the entire world ever.

Must of got excited at the prospect of seeing Mr Hughes FIRST signing!!

Could he actually be the only manager never to sign a player before he's sacked? bbolt

What are the clauses in a daft contract as opposed to a normal one?

Same clauses but he has to stand on his head and drink a glass of water while signing.

Does Howard have a daft contract then? One where everytime somebody touches him he falls down like a clown?

(I) Must play the full 90 minutes when deemed fit.
(II) All beer is free but only when in the presence of the first team coach.
(III) Appear lazy and uninterested.
