Liking the look of the new Sony Experia Z. Its waterproof so you can wank over RedTube in the bath. Happy days!

There are 3 phones you should look at:

iPhone 5 - If you like apps then Apple have the best infrastructure out there and they work best with accessories. Also the best looking phone.
Samsung Galaxy S III - Top all round phone, Android can be a bit daunting but if you know your way round phones then you can customise the shit out of it. Galaxy S 4 is coming soon though.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - The best and most powerful phone out there, sadly it's the size of a house. If you can live with that get one.

People might suggest Windows phones (Nokia Lumia etc.), Blackberry (The new Z10 is a great phone, just not anywhere near the above) and various other Android phones (misterb mentions the Sony above), they're all decent in their own right, just can't touch Samsung or Apple.

Not sure how you mean about running on Virgin Media, do you mean Virgin Mobile? Or do you mean getting your TV on the phone when you're out and about?

Sky do Sky Go which gives you access to fillums, sports and some other channels when out. TV Catchup is a free app that gives you freeview channels on the phone.

It will all depend if you can get the correct sim from virgin. I'm pretty sure they don't do a micro sim but sims can easily be modified.

Also you would need to buy the phone outright.

I have a contract with Virgin and I have an iPhone 4S. I used a sim cutter to cut mine down, but I think Virgin do micro sims now, only thing is you'd need to get the phone sim free in order to use the virgin sim card with it (like I did).

I have an I-phone piece of shit thing for work and its basically expensive hype. Cant believe people pay £40 a month for these smartphones. You go out to the pub or for a meal and sad not nice people are virtually glued to them like telecoms versions of smackheads. Oh look another fucking pointless status update on Facebook sent from my I-phone.Yeah,mate, if I want to know if its snowing I will look out of the window. Cheers. Your dog has had a shit ? Yeah, fucking great, thanks for that. You are stuck in traffic ? Fucking earth shattering news-its the rush hour. 'lovely lovely person'. You just Twittered that you watched Coronation Street ? Hes a teenager. Tell him to get a £5 a month Sim only deal and spend the money he saves by not having an I-phone on fanny.

Hehe, I've got a HTC One S, much prefer it over the X. The One SV is some kind of sick joke though.

Blackberry offered me one of their new phones last week, they're decent but just waiting for my iPhone 5 32gb to come into stock for staff (hence the reason I'm slightly bumming it).

I'd have gone for a Note 2 if I didn't have a Mac and an Apple TV, I just like things to match! I was a bit gutted when the iPhone 5 was first announced because I knew I'd want one at some point.

I had an E71 for a couple of weeks, sent it back and got a BB 9700, Did you know Nokia got a chance to team with Google for the Android OS and they said no and stuck with Symbian? That went well!
