I think they've been uninspired for 30 years now. The first half a dozen albums were great and had a sound unique to the band, but I was a teenager by the time that dwindled and I got into them "retrospectively" in the late 70's, by which time they were already a spent force

Mind you the album cover for Abominog is brilliant!!!!

think there was only Mick Box from the original line up, but with one or two other band members who have been mainstays ever since. I was wasted on acid to be fair so I don't know what it was like in real life

I discovered them in the early to mid 70's, unique vocal style for the time that has been copied many times since.

I'd probably go and see them at Stockton.

I remember a night out in Boro I think where we got talking to some women and somehow she brought up in conversation that she was Uriah Rennies ex wife. Im guessing it was some sort of claim to fame.

Didnt Uriah Rennie ref the 2-0 win against the Loids when Shilton and Fitzpatrick scored?

Heard some awful racism that day.

a few of us enjoyed some good old fashioned shenanigans with the Cardiff boys directly after that match on Clarence Road. One of them was about 30 clem but he soon got cut down to size, I think Poolie Les showed him how it's done ha ha!!
