Remember that schoolyard game a lot of us played with our dinner money (those that paid), where you used to throw coins at a wall?
Generally it was played out of sight of teachers as they took "a very dim view indeed young man".
Well why not bring it back, we could have a league or somefing or noffing and it could be bigger than Simon Cowell's ego. If it works out we could then start the national De Lallo championships and maybe even cannon!
Anyone think of other sportsd we could include and get them into 2012 olympics.

I always lost at Mott mind you, throwing free dinner tickets at the wall was never reliable. Luckily I knew where Gertie kept the used ones which I (as an early day recycler) hoisted handfulls and sold on.

Before you criticise, it was a free market economy and I could supply cheaper than she could. After all my overheads were lower. Her's were 15p mine were 10p. No contest really.

We never played it.

We used to play slam, which was kicking a football against a wall.

In Newton Aycliffe none of us kids had any coins to throw at a wall.

Aye it was a bit. We used to play more football orientated games, but after a while of watching lasses being shit at kerbsie and rounders, you felt compelled to join in and piss all over them, know what I mean?

'slam' in Hartlepool was called Wall-ie.

We also played Doorsy in the back streets with each lad having the back door of a house for a goal with only 3 lives each.

We played bagsie at school, similiar to doorsy but the bag was the goal, the competition was always to try and get the smallest bag for school so you had a better chance of winning.
