I actually think that is the result we needed/wanted today. Had we won the cracks would have been well and truly papered. As it is Mr Hughes has now seen exactly what he has to work with.

Just a few observations ;

Collins should never ever pull on a Hartlepool United shirt on again - was there ever before a more immobile - timid - positionally inept centre half

Austin likewise should never be seen in blue and white again

The younguns - even though they were poor, they tried. James Poole put in more tackles than our defence in its entirity

We had a midfield that looked like it wouldnt be out of play in the dayroom at Hartfields !!

Wyke did more in 10 minutes than the rest put together

The chairman now has to show just how much his heart is in this, he has employed a manager that will now be going to him with requests to put at least 5 of our 1st team on the dole - will Mr Hodcroft let him do that

Well Yogi, welcome to Fortress Vic.

Very well said. I am ashamed to be a Poolie tonight. I want to punch Walton and I have nothing else to say.

Collins, Austin, Humphreys and Murray.
All too old and too slow and hopefully that's the last we see of them!

how come hartley isn't mentioned at all? are people really that blind that hes exempt from criticism? and sweeney.

everyone of them is piss poor, apart from the exception of flinders and to a lesser extent baldwin. sweeney clapping at the end and fans chanting at the end sums up whats wrong with the club. players kept on who aren't good enough and applauded because they try!!!!!jesus every fan inside the ground would try if they pulled on the pools strip.

hartley, imo is hiding behind a screen a bit like michael nelson did before he went. other centre back gets the blame constantly when realistically they are having to carry hartley as not for a long time has he produced anything worthwhile of a pro footballer, apart from a corrupt player who is depserate for the opposition to win

Hartley is not a bad player, two seasons ago he was rumoured to be going to Premiership clubs. A player doesn't turn bad overnight. It's the attitude of the players which is the problem. They're more interested in going on the piss with Barron on a Friday night than the match the following afternoon. The club is rotten to the core, there's a cancer which needs to be removed. Cooper in his pomp would have sorted out these sorry excuses of footballers. Hopefully, Yogi starts a complete overhaul on Monday morning.

rumoured to be going to premiership club? presuming back to sunderland to watch because there's not a hope in hell he is better than league 1. he was better than average during his good spells but hes weak in challenge, not dominant enough and looks at everyone else to blame when something goes wrong.

how many times today did he appeal for offside in the first half? then unsure who it was but looked like him for the handball...if it was another demonstration of a lack of brains because his challenge against tranmere for that penalty was the height of being a complete moron

Agreed. Let Yogi shape the team and playing style now so it is known through out the club even if it means we don't win another game this season. Then with a clear out in the summer the players he brings in will fit the pattern.

Irony is for 15 minutes today we looked like a team capable of scoring and then they just got on top. By half time they realised they just had to play with more width to run round our aged midfield and it was game over.

I think there were far worse players than Austin today, Darren Holden being one of them

Can I suggest singling players out after another spineless showing where not one of the outfield players did enough to warrant inclusion on Tuesday is pointless.

If they relied on a post match collection by fans to pay their wages then tonight would be a cold hungry one for them.

I haven't an ounce of support left for any of them.

Fair point - but are some of our well paid gladiators not guilty of letting down their team-mates? And, therefore, us?

Some of the guys out there today tried - very hard - and, in my view, others didn't. They weren't all spineless. And so, why is it wrong to point at those who let us all down?
