Was through in Hartlepool today and my dad wanted me to go through my stuff in the loft as they're planning to move in a year or so.
Only went through half the stuff and didnt have a clue what I'd find.
Uncovered a boxed ZX Spectrum; not seen if there are any games yet. Are these actually worth owt? And anyway, if they're not worth loads, does anyone want it if it works?
Lots of subbuteo teams squashed into a grey Fosters carrier bag. You cant have them; I havent found a pitch, goals, ball etc yet but if I do I'm gonna start playing my son.
A rubber dinghy, some jigsaws and some mugs - including a pink panther one, a hanging monkey one and an I Shot JR one.

Looking forward to the next time I go up there so I can look for more subbuteo stuff, check out the spectrum and see all the books and games etc.

When my lads were little they wanted one of those new subuteo pitches, the name escapes me, but I duly bought it and our lass wrapped it up for Christmas. The poor little sods were heartbroken when they saw she'd taken it out of the tube, folded it  ....firmly! and then managed to make it into a delightful 8 inch square flat parcel that looked 'so much nicer wrapped up like that than in that boring tube'
We never did get those raised furrows out of the 'playing surface' stpid

The worst part was, that the eldest one wanted West Ham and I couldn't get a team set anywhere, so I bought a Leeds set and repainted them myself. However, the ungrateful, pedantic little git took a wobbly as the hair colour didn't match the shirt numbers ....

ah, the astro turf pitch!

a quality item, so much better than the glued onto hardboard effort that i had, gave the pitch wobbly lines...

WOBBLY LINES...? I'd have settled for that. when she'd finished, our 'astro turf' pitch had the scale equivalent of drystone walls
