At least 5 of our league have plunged into the loan Market so far.

10 1/2 hours to go and nothing from pools

I hope nobody is excited because this day could be a huge let down for pools fans.

Can players who sign before 11pm play tomorrow, if not when's the deadline time wise???

the deadline is only for permanent transfers between 2 clubs. We can still sign people on free transfers and on loans afterwards. We are unlikely to sign anyone today as the likelyhood is we are only looking at getting people in on loan

Yes but alot of clubs will be doing it today and taking the best available players leaving us with scraps.

Why wait a week, just sign noble today!!!

Most fans will be glued to the telly all day to see all the deals going tjrough. Let's put a smile on our faces for a change and get involved.

Nish has gone, were is his replacement??

Maybe Sunderland won't allow Noble to go until the window closes, just in case?

I think Mr B means just in case a permanent transfer happens that has an impact on whether they want to keep Noble, or just in case a club comes in that wants to buy Noble today. Both good reasons to keep your loan business on hold until you've settled your permanent transfer business.

Am I the only person who doesn't think we need Noble?

We need to get our left and right backs defending so that the centre backs can do their job properly and providing the odd cross into the box for Howard, we need to stick with either Poole or James so they can learn to play with Howard in a 4-4-2 (assuming we stay set up that way) or we need to find out who can play behind the main centre forward in a midfield 5. We need to start playing a midfielder who can make a tackle and pass to a blue and white shirt (We all know we have one), we need to stop playing wingers on their weaker sides, we need to chase the left winger who hasn't beaten a man in 2 seasons and who goes missing for portions of games, we also need to get more (or get shot of) out of our supremely fit midfielder who doesn't tackle, pass the ball or travel any distance with the ball at his feet, but is a first choice as he runs onto loose balls and occasionally finds himself in the path of a passed ball.

Unless we can sign a player to do the Paul Murray job who is 21 and as fit as a lop another centre forward won't make a huge difference.

We need a striker who can play off a big man and Poole and James look like they dont have a clue what to do or where to position themselves. Maybe just because they are young and inexperienced?

Besides i aint even convinced they are strikers. James always looked best running at people on right wing imo.

Luke James or James Poole, i think we need one of those players to develop
Into a winger. Both have pace and an eye for goal and both can beat a man and offer more than Monkhouse. Horwood also is worth a try on the left wing.

Then noble partners Howard and sees us sparkle again

Cooper get it done!!

Carlisle have just signed Bolton Wanderers forward Michael O'Halloran on a one-month loan deal, so i think we are ok in that respect.

So there active in the Market and we arnt, can't see how that helps us. They were just an example by the way as there quite local compared to the rest of league 1. I just want us to get it done as I was well impressed with him last season. As people are saying though it looks like next week so yet another shit deadline day for pools fans lies ahead.

Didnt say it helps us, i think it just rules them out of this noble race as they've already bagged a striker.

To play tomorrow they had to have signed by noon today.
