Cooper, he needs to make changes, he's virtually stuck by the same players from pre season and he had a go at them after Crewe. He's reportedly even on official site as being furious after the debacle at Notts County, so it time to get some of the players out of their comfort zone and make some changes. he was never afraid to blood the youngsters first time round he has to be brave again and do just that now and pretty quick.

He said in April 2005 after a 3-0 loss at home to Walsall...

"results like that get managers the sack" 3 days later those words came true. Well Neale if you dont act and act fast KH may well be moving you on a second time, sentiment means nothing to him and if you want to keep your job(I'm not advocating him losing it) then you need to act because as night follows day many more performances like Crewe and Notts County will see you picking up your P45.

Your the only one who can sort it, start on Saturday and make the so called seasoned pro's know you won't stand for it.

I'd try

Flinders

Austin Collins Baldwin Holden

Franks Murray Sweeney Luscombe

Howard Poole

Can't do any worse than those I've dropped after tonight's showing.

I'm all for changing a few but that team again leaves Sweeney in a 2 man midfield. This should be the biggest area of concern and Sweeney isnt upto the job.

Based on the limited viewing I have seen of Richards I'd give him a run out in the middle. Least the kid goes looking for the ball and is happy to have it at his feet.

The first thing I would do is stop playing 4 4 2.

4 2 3 1. And practice it till they all get it. And those that dont, go on loan to the northern league.

Replacing Cooper will solve little unless the new bloke is allowed to bring his own staff in and is given an opportunity to make his own Mark on the squad

So we're dropping Walton now are we?, for me the lads been brought in and virtually hung out to dry in a non-existent midfield with a player who is'nt a midfielder and a series of wingers who aren't midfielders either. He needs some support in there from Murray or Luscombe........it's no good bringing on Luscombe and playing him wide.....as he is'nt a winger either, why are we so frightened/reluctant to play a 2 man central midfield?, ....it baffles me.

------------------Flinders---------------------

Austin-------Collins-----Hartley--------Holden

-------------Walton-----Murray--------------

Franks------------Sweeney------------Poole

------------------Howard--------------------

That's how I would line up on Saturday.

agreed.... Sweeney was the problem at Crewe, not Walton. Walton at least tried to get involved... Sweeney does absolutely fuck all in a central two... anyone who says different - just watch him!!!!

There has never been a nail more firmly hit on the head than that one.

I agree with the 4-2-3-1 formation. I would possibly put Baldwin where Walton is and swap Sweeney for Monkhouse but who gets the CAM position really is down to a coin toss.

I'm a bit frustrated with Poole. Poor against Swindon and anonymous, it would seem, again last night.

I don't disagree with what is being said about Sweeney in a 2 in the middle but I think Walton deserves the criticism he is getting and is as big a problem as Sweeney in a 2 but for different reasons (immobile, unable to squeeze onto his man when we don't have the ball, lazy, show pony passing range etc etc). Also I think he is a 'lovely lovely person' with his team mates, all false passion and hand clapping but no real desire or mettle in how he gets himself around the pitch.

I have been trying very hard to say nothing about him as I haven't seen enough of him and I was one of the people who wash disgusted at the abuse of Nish last year however that turned out but I have seen and played with people like Walton so many times down the years flattering to deceive.

However in a slightly different role and different formation he may play better but he seems to want to have a free role and no responsibility when we do not have the ball which I don't think a team in league one can carry these days

I put team in 4-4-2 because Cooper has said he want to play that basically, fact is going on last night's performance from him then Walton deserves to be dropped. I have said previously I don't think Sweeney is as efficient in 4-4-2 as he is in 4-5-1(4-3-3) So on last nights performances I left Sweeney in at expense of walton but both would be hard pressed to stay in team if there was a different formation to play with more youngsters , and I not seen enough of some of them to start saying they should be in the team.

Franks----Walton---Sweeney---Monkehouse / Luscombe

---------Howard---------

Come on I know the back 4 has been non existent but we do need one, never get anything with only 6 players

I'd go with howard up top on his own with sweeney playing between him and the midfield. Murray has got to be back in there. I'd try horwood at left wing. Two new full backs are a priority as Austin has past his sell by date.

sweeney has proved in the past he can get goals from coming in to play from the midfield, without his goals in previous seasons we'd have been fooked. and murray picked up player of the year last season but cant get a look in???

------------------ Flinders ------------------

Richards ---- Collins ---- Hartley ---- Holden

----------- Murray ------- Walton -----------

--- Franks -------------------- Horwood ---
----------------- Luscombe -----------------

-------------------Howard-------------------

A defence with pace out wide, and plenty of aggression in the middle. A midfield that will want the ball at feet. And a striker who will get in positions to score goals.

Simple
