It's saying something when a SPL club are basically saying they can't afford his wages. Here we have the Rangers situation even having an effect on us! It's a difficult situation Cooper clearly doesn't rate him, Nish seemingly wants to leave.... but only to return to Scotland.... where non of the clubs have a pot to piss in.

Basically means a year of wasted wages, a players whose hearts not in it, barely rated by the manager n is a marmite player amongst the fans.

Times like this you wish he'd just been given a year, would satisfy all parties.

Our squad is too unbalanced and lacking in depth for a passenger, we're at least two signings light of what we needed. Hopefully we'll see some movement by the end of the month, not sure how though.

I think, honestly and sincerely, we are four signings light of what we need. The depth of our squad is shameful.

I did say at least. We're probably two players in the starting eleven light, left wing and striker.

Really is a crap situation with Nish, he must be on very good money.
Wadsworth should be spanked for signing him & Luscombe on 2 year deals.(and Solano for a year)

I may be missing someone but striker wise we have...

Howard
Poole
James

James doesnt seem to be playing a game without being subbed and may be out of form/carrying a knock? And Poole could well end up left wing if Monkhouse carries on playing poor or gets injured.

Howard aint gonna stay injury free all season so dont we need Nish?

Were short upfront so personally im glad he aint going anywhere sctatchinghead

It depends whether we'd get someone else in if he left. Personally I'd rather he left and we use his wages on someone who is actually productive but if he's staying he'll get my support but I think I'll need some convincing.

I'd be surprised if IOR aren't saying to Cooper something along the lines of... we're paying the wages of 4 strikers, we generally only need 3 on the pitch maximum at any one time... if you want another one then ship one of the others out. Or possibly you can have two if you ship out Nish (based on his alleged salary)

Aye but its better if we have a reserve striker we can get onto the pitch.

Howard and Poole should be the front two with James coming on as sub. I think Poole coming on after 45 minutes last weeks suggests Cooper is already eyeing this

Apparently there is money but the right players have not become available. Hopefully Pools are reverting back to a policy of only signing players who are better than what we have or that can offer something different.

With a sustained run in the side I think James Poole could knock in 15-20 goals over the season, probably closer to 20 if he was to take the penaltys instead of Neil Austin and we counted them....

Has that been said? I'd have thought it would be Simon Walton he scored 6 or 7 pens for Plymouth last season. Has Howard ever been a regular pelanty (copywright Chris Waddle) taker?

Was on the website, cooper said a few wanted the pens but Howard is the biggest and nobody was willing to argue with him!!

Austin and Horwood always take the throw ins, doesn't matter where we are on the pitch.

Id like to see it. Would be no reason for high balls to be going anywhere near Nish if he with Howard.

Its called playing to peoples strengths, you have a big powerful guy who is class in the air and a guy who wants the ball to his feet. Its common sense not making allowances.

What he's saying, for the sake of people with no brain cells who cant work it out, is if howard played with nish howard can win the headers n nish can get the ball played into his feet.

You wouldnt play long balls to james or poole would, then again knowing some on here they'd only slag them off for not winning them.

Playing the ball to Nishs feet is like playing the ball long and asking Howard to use his pace and chase it....i.e. fucking idiotic. The same as playing the ball for James & Poole to win headers, stupid. Problem is, our defence are stupid and our midfield weren't mobile enough to play it in to his feet and make runs for him when he did play regularly.

Seems like he's staying for the forseeable so we might as well make use of him properly if he does get his chance.

you get the likes of hartley, austin, collins at the back who just dont look comfortable playing the ball short or carrying it a bit, so they pump it, it's great for howard, bread n butter for him, but for nish, you may aswell pass him a grenade.

The people with no brain cells are the peolple Who want him in the team, ffs he's shite. Thankfully cooper saw this from day 1 and the big lazy soft Fuka gets nowhere near the pitch(warming up excluded). Still a couple of weeks to offload him, fingers crossed.

As for your poor attempt at comparing strikers, at least Poole and James challenge for the ball. It's called effort. Quite a good attribute to have
