An Indian girl who's fighting is an ethnic Mongol. Unusual maybe but not as rare as you might think.

Unless the schedule I'm lookin at is showing BST instead of CET, which is not impossible

It does show her 1h15 later than Adams so must be 15.30

Another digusting decision in the boxing.
The olympic committee have to sort it out. It is the same every time.

She'd have been better winning a round than getting a bye, surely it's tough to go into an Olympic quarter final having not had a chance to box.

I'm sure she'll have another opportunity but I feel for her.

She's still done the Town proud even getting there.

Shocking decision! She clearly won the last round but those tosspot judges had her going further behind. The Kazakh lass was more interested in wrestling than boxing and should have been penalised at least twice! Can Savannha appeal the decision?

I'm gutted for her. Those two last rounds were clearly hers and how the ref didn't penalise the other one for holding on I'll never know. In fact it's a perfect example of why boxing is a fooking fix. Always has been always will be. Women have wanted equality and they've certainly got it - BENT judges! The only certain winner is when someone is knocked out and then alot of them will be dives. rage rage rage

Have to say Savannah showed a bit of inexperience letting the other get close in all the time.
As for whether the score was right or wrong I haven't a fookin' clue.

It's easy, if you land the most punches you should win.

TAKE NOTE CHEATING JUDGES.

Just found the list of "judges" for the fight.

1) Stevie Wonder
2) David Plunkett
3,4 & 5) The Blind Mice

Explains it really doesn't it?

How Volnova got 6 for the last round is a mystery....unless you get points for holding on like!!!! sctatchinghead

If only Savannah kept her distance though and used her jab more....it could have been so different!!!! confised

Plus I agree with whoever said it wouldn't have helped her getting a bye!!!! confised

But Well Done Savannah....proud of yeh!!!!

They must have been the same ones that judged that Japanese boxer who had his opponent down 8 times in the last round and still didn't score more.

The worst thing about sport. If there are judges involved it is fixed.
