Whether you believe in God or not I doubt that Walton was even on Cooper's radar. I've no evidence to back this up, but there was nothing from Throston bookies on him.

He must have been on Coopers radar at some point or we wouldnt have signed him.

Not necessarily.
Player decides he wants to move back up north to be near his kid, asks agent to find a club. Agent speaks to a man who knows a man who has a word in Cooper's ear.
Cooper asks around about the player and thinks he might be his new Mark Tinkler, makes an offer, done deal.

Yes thats a fair point, but didnt Cooper say that he wouldnt be signing anyone unless has seen them play first or at least had them on trial. So for him to now be signing a player he hasnt seen play as you have suggested seems to go against what he said the other week. But regardless of how Cooper heard of him, he sounds a decent player & just what we are needing in our midfield..

I dont, Cooper could have had him watched every week since Christmas for all I know, but Klinger was suggesting that it was done through his agent having a word in ears until Cooper heard about him.

Cooper mentioned in his interview that he's missed out on a few targets, they were probably players he had watched.
Walton was still under contract with Plymouth so probably wasn't a payer who was thought to be available.

Paul Baker said he had scouted a few players and already had a list of players to give to Cooper, maybe he was one of them. Joe Allon could easily have had a word too.

Every manager in the world rates Messi, I assume he is signing Monday is he??

I can't quiet understand the problem.

We signed a player, why question how it happened?

Has it really come to this?

Sure I seen Walton and Cooper knocking the jagerbombs back in the Clarry then had a game of killer with Fletcher and Miller...The winner got to sign for Pools

If i was a mod I'd be a big man and nobody will argue with me blah blah blah. Fukn grow up. 49 going on 12. Do you even realise you think you are better than others and bully them. You mentioned this isn't real life yesterday but you put people down regularly and in all honesty its very real. If They retaliate They are a troll. You inclined on another thread that tje queen had di killed which is the most Blatent trolling the bunker has seen but you say others do it when in disagreement to your good self. Extreme double standards. You want to be very careful what you say. People could be jailed easily for those comments

I dont think there is a problem. Just a discussion on how Cooper come to sign a player nobody has heard of.
Weve waited a while for another signing, no harm in talking about it.

Well I'd imagine scouts, there has been quite a few players over the years who we have signed and I'd never heard of them but have turned out to do a very good job..

Thick as mince. Possibly thicker.

I wish I was still a moderator.[/quote]

So you would ban me off just cos I disagree with you?? A lot of people on here disagree with you, so if you applied the same rules to everyone, then there would only be you & your few chums left on here to indulge in your own a**e licking competition each day!!

Another thread turns into a less than polished turd over a new player that we've signed. A player of 24 that Plymouth made captain in shitty circumstances and the team survived? There must be something about him??

I give up.

To be fair, poolie1966, that Messi comment made about as much sense as an ashtray on a bike; but i'm sure you saw some logic in it at the time. Once you get your ideas clear maybe you can explain to us what the point was.

Yes there was some logic to my point when I posted it, however, 24 hours later for the life of me I cant remember what it was.

Friday night on my own whilst the wife was on night shift & a few vodkas might have something to do with it, but other than that I cant remember. If it comes back to me, I will let you know!!
