With 24hrs to go I've had 3 responses from cllrs to the invite to attended the meeting. 1 cllr is coming while the other 2 have said they can't while they await the information they requested.

Therefore, unless there is a last minute rush tomorrow, it looks like 32 cllrs will miss the opportunity to listen to the views of other people on the MHM.

Lets hope we get a big turn out to night.
Please don't hang back about asking any of the partners there tonight that awkward question that you want an answer for.
Tonight is about getting to the nitty gritty so don't hold back we need to know if this redvolepment of the millhouse area is achieverable.

They'll avoid the issue as long as they can hoping that the furore will die down and people will lose interest. It's a classic ploy.

Think about when that gadgie got shot sparking off the riots. 'We will report back in ten months.' That way they can buy time and when they eventually deign to get around to it, they'll say 'well everyone has forgotten it. We can say what we want and everyone will think 'oh that. That was ages ago.''

My suggestion is in the Campaign forum.

Thank you for turning out last night you made the meeting work.
sorry about the mic and the gentleman at the back shouting over and over again.
The MHAAG sec will be getting some notes sorted over the next few days to keep everyone in the loop.

thanks.

Hello All,

I think last nights meeting was very successful. Thank you to all of you who were able to attended. I would estimate that there where 150-160 present representing HUFC fans, bowls club members, local residents, 2 cllrs (Brash and G Lilley) and others. The presentations and contributions from Gus Robinson Developments, especially with the enhanced graphics really brought the plans to life. Damien Wilson the regeneration officer from Hartlepool Borough Council was able to give information on the plans from the council's point of view. Russ Green, for HUFC, gave his strongest defence yet of the plan. Questions and statements of support or opposition were taken from the floor and all where answered to the best of their knowledge by those mentioned above. The 2 cllrs were not asked questions nor did they ask any; this was to maintain a non-biased position on the plan while cllrs await further information.

Hopefully it will get large numbers of people in the town and beyond talking about the plan. Both the Northern Echo and Hartlepool have run articles in their editions today. Having spoken to some of the committee members of MHAAG their feelings are that we will monitor the feedback/reaction to the meeting and keep track of developments with the council. In a week or so we'll probably arrange another meeting of the committee to discuss our next steps.

Of course this doesn't stop any individuals contacting whoever they wish to express their views on the plan, e.g. Councillors, the press, Gus Robinsons Developments etc.

I will keep you informed of any developments. If you have any comments or suggestions please contact me.

Thanks again
