The Tour de France gets underway today and I was wonderin' if you will be sipping a bordeux whilst watching the action during the Saint-Paul-Trois-Chateux to Le Cap d'Agde stage later in the week. And could I doss down at your place for a week next year so that I can see the action?

Let's start a lottery. How many will get DQ's for drug abuse?? You'd hope that they've learned by now but I suspect not. :laugh:

Take Lance Armstrong fr' instance. He says that because his drug taking is 'old news' then they should just forget it. Now fair play to the man for bending Sheryl Crowe out of shape, and for having one in the Albert Hall alongside another famous plum, but drug abuse in sport is simply that. Not allowed.

I set out one afternoon fully intending to cycle up that same hill. I rode about 1/4 of the distance to the foot and realised I was going to be roadkill if I kept going. So I rode to the pub instead.

When I got home the other night after the England v Italy game at 6.30am, I got to the foot of the seven flights of stairs to our apartment and suddenly, before I knew it, our rass carried me upstairs... :doh:

Drugs and the TdF have flirted with each other, certainly from the sixties and that tragic hill climb by the late and great Tommy Simpson, and possibly before this.
