Would be a good signing for us if we get the former Sunderland striker.

Seems like a classic case of 'needing to re-boot his career.' He went to Leicester for a lot of cash though, so will he fall in to the wage budget?? I think Leicester are quite minted aren't they??

Season long loan, yes Leicester were spedning big last term, probably paid over the odds.

I would be glad to see this lad come in.

He is available, and the Echo said a couple of Championship clubs are meant to be interested but I wouldn't say he's out of our league, he's yet to really fulfill his promise and has a moderate goal scoring record plus he might fancy a move back to the North East.

If the link had appeared in the Mail I'd agree

I agree he's probably not out of our league ability wise, i just think lower end champ clubs will be sniffing n that'll be more appealling to him career wise and financially.

Hasn't exactly set the championship on fire with his goal scoring record in that division, a goal every 5 games(approx), so maybe a drop down may be beneficial for him and he is a North East lad.

I'm not knocking him before he signs either as I said a drop down may be beneficial to him and of course Pools if he does sign.

As others have said this could be his level if prepared to come here if he thinks he could drop his finances a little i would be excited if this comes off

Well the Championship didn't work for Ryan Noble but he liked his time with Pools. Maybe these lads might be a bit more humble now.
