 Every Brit who is good at anything has people who love to simply hate them. I can never understand it.

I'm no fan if Boxing but is was quite refreshing to see a fight were both blokes tried to hit each other.

'Amazing' may be stretching it when talking about two blokes clagging each other but he was good to watch.

Not many times you see a boxer go all out against a dangerous fighter like Froch did tonight
I'd say amazing is spot on.

I'm fucking clueless about boxing, I have no idea what qualifies as amazing. Happy to admit that, I just don't feel like watching someone punch a bloke loads is amazing. Not my bag that's all, it was entertaining though I'm a fan of sport and enjoyed his performance.

In 100% agreement PJ. I enjoyed the fight but felt more than a little uncomfortable that it was not stopped sooner. I know jackshit about boxing but surely Bute will have incurred some serious damage last night.

Well done to Froch mind, the last fight I saw was the David Haye debacle against Klitchco last year......chalk and cheese....

Carl Froch is simply awesome - the most exciting British fighter for a very long time. I thought the ref did well.

What's not to like? An actual boxer who wants to fight the best there is out there and will fight them in there own hometown, and not motivated by money and fame but just wants to be known as a great boxer. And who comes across a very down to earth person. Very much the opposite of 90% of the box office boxers we have at the minute

It seems to be 'cool' to dislike people who are good at things to be honest. He must be one of the most likeable characaters in the game and i cant see a single thing about him that anyone could dislike.

And if your 'uncomfortable' watching someone getting punched in a boxing fight then dont watch boxing.

Have to agree with that, would have really liked to see Froch take on Calzaghe before he wrapped in, for all Calzaghe was great he was only taking people way past their best in the end and he didn't look too clever in any of his last 3 fights.

yeah calzaghe froch would have been great but calzaghe wouldnt fight him because froch wasnt a 'name' big enough to fight calzaghe and he used to knock him a lot saying froch was just after a big pay day. but id rate froch as a better fight and certainly much more entertaining. froch has proved time and time again he will fight anyone/anywhere. whereas the fighters around at the minute i.e. haye, khan, and even mayweather and pacquiao will only fight when the moneys right and they are getting the biggest sum of money possible. the sport is a joke at the minute i wouldnt dream of paying to watch haye vs chisora....one is a complete and utter tool while the other is also a complete and utter tool who has also lost 3 fights on the bounce! and im sure its being tipped to take in a record amount of money for a british boxing match!
