Can someone get influential people from Gus Robinsons, Camerons and the College of Art to lobby for this too. I think a lot of councillors would be more swayed by local businessmen pushing for the plan to go ahead.

Definitely is needed- this HAS to be seen as the whole plan and NOT just about the HUFC aspect which the councillors will probably find easier to argue against.

Having had a meeting last week with Russ Green (mouldy was there as well) Russ did say that all the partners were together on the development " as one" I think was how he put it (mouldy can put me right there if I'm wrong), So that shouldn't be to difficult to arrange probably via Pools would be the best way forward on it in my opinion. I believe Russ is on holiday but it should be brought to Pools attention as soon as possible. I don't know who is working on it, if anyone at the moment but if people want I could contact Mark Simpson see if he knows and what if anything Pools are currently doing about it while Russ is away.

I still believe that, in the event of any potential negative talks with Wright........ that if Mandelson was then approached and he gave the plans his approval, then it would happen regardless. Nothing would stop the proposals if he was on board. They would all bow down to him, and that IS a fact!!!!

Somebody try and tell me the harm in contacting him otherwise why don't we do it anyway? I suppose that the worst he can do is come out firmly against and then throw his weight behind that standpoint so there could be an element of risk.

think that's why it's best to do things one step at a time, as they are at the mo. Let's see what comes of the meeting with Wright... I know Leo Gillen is personal friends with Mandelson... does anyone know of any way he could perhaps find out what Mandelson's stance would be, off the record?
Someone must know Gillen to see if he can make an enquiry?

Politics is a dirty game.

Does Gillen fancy being the next mayor? Would a few thousand Pools fans voting for him if he gets this scheme past the post help him if he does fancy it? Anybody know him well enough to have the conversation?
