He's still the best of the two but his kicking needs to improve.
I think most of it was out of frustration watching the shite in front of him.

I don't see how Rafferty can't get some game time now, and make Flinders improve. Why should Flinders be the declared number one? Throw it open to Rafferty to make a claim for the jersey in the next 3 or 4 games and put Flinders on the bench

Unless Flinders played in midfield tonight he's the least of our problems. He's a better keeper than the Oldham bloke who the ref failed to notice in the last minute hadn't even tried to catch a cross all night.

Flinders kicking wasn't the best but I think he is generally played very well for the last couple of months so I wouldn't drop him based on that aspect of his game - especially as it should be fairly easy to improve.

there's a deeper issue here though - the signal needs to be sent out to the entire squad that everyone's place is up for grabs. In my opinion Flinders let their striker get to him when he stood in front of him, he was mentally weak there. Sulking means you are losing your control and means you are more likely to make a mistake, and they knew that.
Everyone should have to fight for their place after that - nobody's place should be safe.
There can't be any exceptions
