Another illusion shattered, I thought they ran ALL of the way with the torch, not just some of it!

Are the Chinese sending their bodyguards again?

That was the Armed Police, known in the English press as the 'paramilitary armed police, even though they are a branch of the Army anyway. How can the army be paramilitary? sctatchinghead

Anyway, do you realise how far a squad of 30 men ran in four months??

This will be a crock of shite no doubt. In the mail it's saying how it's Hartlepools chance to shine. Not really since the flame is passing through pretty much everywhere in the UK.

I'd be suprised if it makes it through easington road without some bag head asking for a light off it.

How correct you are:

"Hartlepool Mayor Stuart Drummond spoke of his delight that the exact route has been revealed in advance and says the occasion will “put Hartlepool in the world spotlight”.

Lord Sebastian Coe, chairman of The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG), said the people of the town can now start to plan how they might celebrate and make the occasion Hartlepool’s “moment to shine.”

Wouldn't say what I've said was ignorant. More a statement of fact apart from the bag head bit which was in jest.
